Look if you want to see the fun loads, that wil give you a pucker factor of 100. Hang out along I-80 between Cheyenne and Sydney and watch the silo maintanence crews go by. It's what you don't see that's scary. Run the backroads in that same area and watch for the crews working on the silos. Those M-16's are locked/loaded, the hummvees are also locked/loaded and if there is a Blackhawk or Apache orbiting the area, smile and wave, they will have you targeted.

There are also DOE convoy's that run from Idaho to N. Texas area these are really fun convoy's and have been discussed on here before. They contain enough firepower to start and end a small war.

When I was in the Air Force (94-98 active, then reserve) we pulled military freight across country many times. I was a 2t151, vehicle ops. We had several white trucks with blue stripes. They were nice inside and chromed out too. They were '90 or '92 White-GMC cabovers and we pulled lowboy van trailers. Had the typical Air Force info on side with vehicle number n such, and then on the air dam on top it had "Air Force" in big letters. Never had to stop for weigh stations, it was great. Only one time did an idiot cop try to pull us over. Ohio, go figure. Never had to wear uniforms and stayed in hotels when necessary. Ahhh, good times.

We worked for them in 2007-2008. Sounds like you were there during the Trism days. Our dispatcher was Chalise.
