Hey everyone, just a quick hello and salute from the TA in Marianna FL, where I made it just a while ago. I deliver Monday evening here, then will reload Tues from GA going to PA. Apparently we have a new best friend in Lowes, Jason told me Friday. I delivered to the Lowes DC in Minersville PA on Friday, and this next one going north will be the same. Bummer not to go home to Orlando this week, but I'm happy to it for Louie, who's been absolutely great to work with since I've been back. He's kept me running so hard in fact, I haven't really had time to get my truck serviced but once in the 2.5 months since I came back to Calex. The only bummer of going to Marianna is that it cuts out about 400 miles on the round-trip from North to South, and back North again. But oh well.

Happiest of birthdays to my good friend Johnny this Monday. Who'd have thought you were 69? You look fantastic pal! J/K - I know the real number but I'm discreet, so I'll leave it to you to share. Happy anniversary too!

BTW to the someone who asked here recently: Regarding McKesson in Orlando, where I usually deliver, we now no longer use door 41. We are indeed asked to deliver on the other side of the building, preferably door 14. If it's taken, 12 or 10 will do as well. I delivered in #10 last week after arriving at midnight the night before and seeing 14 already occupied. You can also stick your paperwork halfway out your closed window (as long as it's loose enough to be removed), and then they'll just grab it in the morning and not bother you until your empty. Hope that helps.

So it's been great to be back here again - let's get through this next few weeks and bring on the spring! I'm looking for my St. Louis Cardinals to repeat as world champs again this year WITHOUT Albert Pujols, just the show the world he wasn't the whole team!

    Ciao!

Busy next 2 days. Today, my birthday(56) with breakfast in bed made by my loving wife.

Tomorrow, Wedding Anniversary(18) and Valentines day. Will be taking the bike out with the wife and going to Islamorada down in the Keys for a little trip with friends for dinner.

This is what it's all about for me and my employment here at Calex. I have said time and time again, this is not a perfect job, I would love to make a little more coin, but being able to plan things and being home to enjoy them makes this a hard OTR gig to beat.

I'm right there with ya. Resetting before I deliver, and again after. Averaging 60 to 80 hours off between trips does add up. About the only place I get out of quickly is the northwest (too close to home.) I'm hoping it's just the time of year.

Good luck with the rebuilt truck john. Hopefully it will be the end of your curse. How many have dropped dead under you since the beginning of the year?

I think 3. I sure hope this is the end of the curse. And about the sitting, yes, it is that time of the year. Just as soon as produce starts running again then you will be begging for the reset.

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY JOHNBOY

I hope you enjoy yourself over the next few days!!!!!! Just got home this morning so get to spend Valentines day with my girl, no coin could come close to having the the girl you love by your side, even if it is just for one day.

Well said, sometimes it isn't always about the coin, it's about being happy with life. It comes different ways for different people.

    JohnBoy Thanks this.
