I finished a load the other morning with about 5 hours left on the clock and sent MAC 30-- no loads so scooted over to the local truck stop for breakfast and shower and bed since I had been driving since midnight. No sooner did I pop the brakes at the truck stop 10 minutes later did they send me a load offer with a pickup time of the day before. I couldn't find the town on the atlas plus my low blood sugar and my mindset to shut down, so declined because all these things set off some anxiety like the load is already late and I have some things I want to do. Later on they sent another load with a previous day pick up time, I read it really quick then had to go in to get my laundry and got caught up watching tv etc, came back it was a repower, but was removed. I think some planner was mad because the next Mac 30 I sent I got back a strange message "Stand by, searching for loads" then "No loads offered" message instead of the canned "No loads available right now" message. I have my home time request in now, was in PA but snagged a load going to Georgia with a 25 hour delivery. Score some miles vertically before I turn horizontally and southern route home to Cali yay. Problem with this load was when I aimed the GPS at the final, it said I would be arriving at exactly the delivery time (when factoring in 10 hour break). 720 miles, is more than 11 hours driving too plus a guy has to pull over once in a while lol.

    I81 southbound in Virgina.

Somewhere south of Louisville, KY. What in interesting day. I-65 closed north of Cullman, AL, sinkhole northbound side, so trucks are routed onto US-31. Got routed, and about 10 miles up the road, some jerk decided that he wanted to u-turn to head north again, and dropped his trailer tires into the ditch. Both lanes blocked. Finally get to the shipper and scoot up to relay, and the driver gets in my face and wants to know what took so long. Too begin with, I did not even want the load, and before I had a chance to refuse, the other driver committed to the pplan and relay, so I receive a msg from Atlanta planners, well, they commited, so now it is on you. Since when do we get forced dispatch. Quick phone call to my DM, he has a little chat with them, and backed up with another as soon as can get there. What really po'd me, I was accepting another pplan that was sent to me, and they pulled two of them, going to Memphis and then to Lancaster. They did make up for it for the weekend. Drop this one in the morning at Quaker, then scoot over to Costco and grap one for Omaha, then another drop and hook in Omaha and down to Garland by Monday morning for another drop. Might still end up at Lancaster

Coming off my 10 hour break in Virgina, GPS said if I rolled 337 miles nonstop I would only be 1/2 hour late lol. Stopped for fuel at the last fuel exit in NC before entering SC then GA for the final. While there, got a message asking to pick up a driver in Greer and take him to a truck down by Atlanta after my delivery. Luckily he only had one duffel bag with him, his plan was to get to the truck and bobtail it back to Greer and transfer his stuff from his broke down truck to the new (old) one. Greer had already told him he couldn't bobtail that far, but that's why he didn't bring any bedding, and called Phoenix and got permission after hours. Plus who wants to sleep on someone else's mattress? Getting loaded right now in Dalton GA will drop and swap in Memphis tonight hopefully.
