Orientation 02/29/12

Well today is the big day. I get on that Grey dog for a 23 hour ride to Vandalia, OH. Atleast it wont be too bad of a ride for the most part. I will get to meet up with Supper Raven from TTR in Raleigh, NC and we will be on the same bus all the way to Ohio. Then we are going to try to get paired up in the same room. Makes a long, boring trip a little better when you are sitting next to someone you know. I guess I can now say that I will be beginning what I hope will be a relatively smooth year with USA Truck. I know there will be plenty of potholes along the way but maybe it wont be all potholes. A year from now I will be able to make a choice in my career. As long as I keep my licence clean and my nose clean and complete my contract, I will be able to either stay at USA Truck if things go well or, I will be able to find another company to meet my needs. Either way, USA Truck will have gotten me exactly what I needed for my new career. My CDL and atleast one year of verifiable OTR experience. Lets get this show on the road!!!! Well we made it!!!! Days Inn!!! At least its not a dump. Pretty decent room. After 24 hours on the Grey Dog, and only a total of 2 hours sleep, and not all at one time, I think its time to get some decent food other than bus stop chips and then take a nap and get ready for day 1 of orientation.
