At the I-77s and US 421 split in NC I had a FedEx driver put me in the median. It threw him out of the bunk into the shifter when we hit the side of here back trailer. I kept it from going over and the emergency crew was surprised because I left a deep ditch in the mud.
When the cop was doing the interview, she told him "I didn't see him until he passed me in the grass." The cop told her "I guess so when you ran him off the road." All because she was following the truck in front of her so close she could not see his signal light. She thought he was jack-knifing. She then went on to claim the SHP and me were running a scam. I was rolling in the floor when she said that. I yelled to my brother to hold on we're going to crash.Giggles the Original Thanks this. -

You always see the ground trucks in the medians when it's icy. It's because they are tailgating and when traffic slows there's no where too go.
I hate Fed Ex Ground drivers.skibum_63 Thanks this. -
We're not all bad, just the ones from overseas and the guys who have no experience with doubles, (maybe those new breed drivers, but I won't touch that one). It's amazing how people bring their bad driving habits out here and the company doesn't know until the person just royally screws up. I've seen some real mind-blowers, even at the hubs (terminals).
Knotme Thanks this. -
I always liked running on I-83 south of Harrisburg, just after the 83/581 split, a place called Reeser's Summit. Fed-Ex has a terminal just south of that in Lewisberry. Anytime it snows you'll see some Fed-Ex stuck on both sides of that hill.

It would seem like there are a lot of FedEx trucks in the ditch but when you look at it overall, and I did look up their CSA score, they (Ground) Vehicle Miles Traveled (VMT): 1,396,270,000
Number of Crashes: 825
Number Tow-aways: 778
That is right off the US DOT report. -
