I enjoy watching the 'rant' videos every once in a while though.

Remeber the truck chase sequence from Beverly Hills Cop with Eddie Murphy in the trailer?

Or John Candy in Armed and Dangerous?

What would you guys put in a movie based around a trucker? Besides all the #### coffee, lot lizzards, top 40 radio, and terrible stops?

Honestly, Id do a story about the life of a trucker. The good, bad, and ugly.

Maybe he has a family and is married. Goes through tough times and keeps on truckin. His wife at home can't take the long periods of being home alone raising their child. She tells him to choose her or trucking and he chooses trucking. Stays on the road more, but when he comes home he gets to spend time with his son. They get a divorce but he then gets to take his son with him every now and then. Not much but its a start for off the top of my head lol.

I kinda enjoy more of the documentary type of trucking movies. Shows the true side i guess.

There STILL hasn't been a definitive documentary about the lifestyle of trucking. 'Big Rig' was kind of a decent movie, but it still didn't tell THE story of the trucker and the trucking lifestyle in my opinion. I'm still on the search for a good one.

I agree, I'm not a trucker, and I thought Big Rig was only OK. And I couldn't stand the music...

Well now that is a good question, how about that since the 70's trucking rates have not kept up with the costs. With the drivers ending up taking the hit. How about the almost daily near misses caused by mindless 4 wheeler drivers. The stupidity of having to record your life in 15 minute intervals. At grand finally some guy suffering from mental dwarfism getting into his motor home and driving without sleep to get from the city out to a fishing hole, not watching what he is doing and ending the movie with a gigantic crash scene. You may as well base it on reallity.
