When you're in that area again ... go into Lathrop. Lathrop is not like other terminals, you can talk directly with the planners and if you work with them they will work with you.

If they can do it, they will take a load off your hands. In return they will give you a local that will deliver a day earlier than the one you are on.

Heading to IL, podunk TS on the 55 in AR ...

    Mystic,
That's what I liked about Lathrop. No window separating the drivers from the office and that carries over to the cooperation.

Last time the delivery was a stop on a run near Portland, OR. This time I got here at 3pm. I was hoping to unload and get my pta moved up which would make a pplan early more likely. Doing laundry instead.

Home again, home again, jigity jig...
At least for a day, anyway.

Got a message a couple days ago that I need to be in Phoenix by Friday at the latest to trade my truck.

Got a pplan today trying to send me to VA - and picking up today while I'm on home time.
My PTA is set for tomorrow at 1100.
What the @#$% are they thinking, if at all? :biggrin_25523:

Well, if I don't get a load to Phoenix by tomorrow afternoon I'll be calling my DM, since I won't make it by Friday in time to trade in my truck.

May as well take my full 3 days of home time here, as opposed to getting to Phoenix Friday night or Saturday and waiting until Monday to swap out.

I especially like those little tinted glass 'sensors' next to the flush button. I heard they have a little hidden camera behind the glass like at the casinos and some guy is watching for you to get up so he can flush for you. Also if he sees you wipe more than twice he will flush so the paper won't clog up the bowl.

What kind of craziness? I'm headed that way for Thursday. Crazy to accept the load, I know. I had 1000 (850 loaded) miles for this week and bought a bunch of fuel in anticipation of using it this week, oops my paycheck will be $50 bucks but this Laredo load sets me up delivery for Thursday 1500 miles, surely I will get something before the next Wednesday lol?

Had a 2 hour live load earlier so taking a quick 8 hour break here in Wellington UT, otherwise I'd have to be rolling into Towaoc CO around midnight which means starting my day again at 10 am yuck. Besides, last time I was at Towaoc, I got Montezuma's Revenge so bad I was puking and pooping my guts out in Gallup NM for a whole day.

Somewhere on I-10 in AZ. Made my pu, and later in the day I receive a msg, del changed to 1800 on the 27th. Talked to my DM, and he told me that Plus 1 thought that I could not make del in the morning. 770 miles from where loaded, and Plus 1 thinks that I need 30 hours to get there. then get a msg from another DM, and wanting to know if I can make del tonight. Then since Plus 1 changed my del time, it also changes my PTA and I can not use MAC 30 until later. Then get a msg, SIMS class scheduled for 0830 in morning. While all of this is going on, my DM is not aware of any of this, I am not aware. Also talk to the other DM, and he found me a nice load on the yard going to Columbus. He asked the planner if he can have it for me, she gets po'd because he looked at the loads, and then punishes me with a pplan from Wilmington to Manteno for the 31st. Nowhere near home, so my DM has me refuse it. Oh well, I am going to try and use a split log tonight and see if it works 7 hours from now. Oh, on the SIMS class, here is something that I learned today. I had until April 1 to take the class. I was told today that they will put you on safety hold one week priort to your cutoff.

It used to be 4 days prior to the date, now it's 7 days prior for safety hold? Luckily I got my LCQ, SIMs and DOT Physical all done last week in one day, even had time to stand in line at the DMV to drop off the long form.
Looking at my Risk Analysis screen I saw that I also need this new class called Backing Techniques- I like these lol, all you have to do is click the Quiz button and answer the questions over and over til you pass, never even need to watch the 20 minute video.
