By the same token it is not good for the student to have the mentor helicopter hovering over them the entire time they are driving.
Wonderful.
Well I accepted this load because it empties on a Thursday, plenty of time for them to find me a load out before the pay period deadline-- one would hope.
Towaoc CO for my 2 hour break. Just gave them the winnings from Whiskey Pete's casino (Primm NV) lol.
Forgot to add, I am in some kind of Twilight Zone feedback loop between my tax guy and Swift regarding the Bill of Sale for my truck. Tax guy needs it to complete my taxes and Swift/IEL says they don't do Bills of Sale. I don't know what the problem is, I use ATBS tax service which Swift or IEL recommends, surely hundreds of Swiftie's L/O's pay off their trucks every year, why all of a sudden cannot ATBS complete the taxes for one truck ?

Scottie,i got a mac 30 load out of here(laredo) a few hrs after my pta,in fact lots of stuff came up,not what i would have preferred but outta here is good enough for me,and the reason atbs is having a hard time with your taxes is because they both are dependant on systems to get stuff done,so yes 1 truck do throw them off and they sit with a thumb up the bum, waiting for the other guy to resolve the problem..........imho
I would stay at the terminal, because it was nuts around here too( laredo ts),but take a look at the situation when you are here, you seen it before.lol...
PS its a little steamy down here too,so i knows you a california boy and used to the "dry heat"scottied67 Thanks this. -
Goodnight from this wonderful hotel at Millington, TN at Swift school.
OceanDan and scottied67 Thank this. -
I went to school in Millington in '78 courtesy of Uncle Sugars Canoe Club ...

I55 T/S in IL ... quick run to Cincy tomorrow to finish the week with 3600 miles, then off to ATL -
Picking up in Fairfield, CA at 11 tonight and heading home to Texas. I drove less than an hour this morning and now doing a split sleeper at the J in Ripon. I'm planning on getting as many hours on it as I can tonight but I have a hard time doing the day to night switch. I'll take in steps: Santa Nella then try for Lost Hills or Buttonwillow and shut it down. Route will be mostly I-40 which will be new ground for me.

If you are heading to the 40, stay on the 99 to CA58 in Bakersfield, go east on I15 in Barstow, go about 5 miles and bare right onto I40 ... you shouldn't be going anywhere near Santa Nella or Button Willow.
