That part scares me, while my age gives me understanding of others, it also has me set in my ways on certain points. I hope I can shut up!

He made the load didn't he? I know he's your hubby and you love him and all. But, sometimes people need a kick in the butt to learn what they are capable of.scottied67 and Wilma Thank this.

Yes, I do see your point, but the truth is, I'm not sure if he made it or not. I don't know if he just doesn't have cell service where he is, but he has to have been there way over 10 hours now. I've left a couple (dozen) messages now because I'm worried since this isn't like him at all.
scottied67 Thanks this. -
Found him! He didn't make it to his final stop and was stuck in an area where he didn't have any cell service.

I think it may be time to get him a prepaid cell with a different provider.scottied67 Thanks this. -
It hasn't happened to me, but I have heard from other drivers who accepted a load based on the pick up and delivery times offered, then Swift changed the times and refused to change it back or remove the loads. Sometimes you just have to outsmart Swift and play their own game back on them using the tools like Macro 22 to set the delivery time back to what you agreed to originally.
I might have asked to speak to the DM's supervisor about this and/or asked for the service failure threat to be transmitted over the qualcomm as well to call the DM's bluff.
They are always harping on us drivers to have good customer service skills. I find it ironic that some driver managers (they call them 'leaders' now) don't share that same philosophy regarding communication with their drivers.
Swift gets what Swift deserves when the driver did not make the load on time due to Swift changing the times.
I recommend Verizon.
Wilma Thanks this. -
My current load is that way.
Pplan said 1200 delivery, load assignment said 1130.
I had written down the pplan times and entered them into the loaded call, but failed to notice the actual load assignment time, which was 30 minutes before the time given in the pplan.
I ignored the message about the ETA time being after the scheduled time.
My DM messaged to do a Mac22 to correct the time.
It's all about Plus-1.
Pick up the load a few minutes before Plus-1 expects you to, and Plus-1 will adapt and give you an earlier delivery time.
Drivers - REVOLT AGAINST PLUS-1 !!!!!!!!!!fr8monkey, Wilma and scottied67 Thank this. -
I have done the MAC 22 now a few times when the load assignment comes accross different than the pplan, and so far, have not gotten any grief. I just put in the reason as to why, accepted pplan with times stated. Plus 1 does not drive my truck. Had one the other day that Plus 1 all of a sudden thought that I could not make a 1200 del, and changed it to 1800. Even changed the PTA. Every time that I tried to change it back to the original, would get a message, ETA is earlier than scheduled time, and this was for a drop. This Plus 1 has to go, and go fast. Even my DM changed my PTA, and when did MAC 30, was getting loads that where being offered for after 1800.

Hey Wilma! I had virgin mobile for the most part good service but along the interstate.BUT in some of the square and rectangular states NO SERVICE at all,the only national phone service is verizon, but I do have att with an Iphone and I get internet and phone service almost everywhere,so prepaid is not good for ALL areas, but do what you can until you can afford a good cell plan.glad you heard from hubby, believe me when out of a service area i go freakin' nuts,no phone but especially no internet, lol
scottied67 and Wilma Thank this. -
I have Sprint and have had voice service in all the 40 states I've been in since 12/9/11. Data roaming occasionally pops up in remote areas. As far as Plus 1 loads, my DM routinely encourages me to mac22 loads that I cannot safely deliver on time where the times changed after I accepted the load.
I ran the identical Target load from Suffolk, VA to Amsterdam, NY solo that Bluebonn and I ran as team when I was on his truck. We barely made it on time team. I picked up the load, d&h, pulled out of the gate, stopped and sent a mac22 with an eta 8 hours later. I delivered within MY timeframe; no noise from anyone and I'm still 100% on time with no service failures.
Learn how the system works then work the system. Mac22 is your friend.
FrankWilma and scottied67 Thank this.
