I've been with land transport/ evans delivery for some time, left now, and they suck. I used to run out of Philly PA. Their pay is low and the wait to load/unload is slow as well. The manager, mike, is as dumb as the donkey. This terminal, out of Philadelphia area, has its own favorites. They give high paying and low wait loads to their own people and let others, who is not the "own" circle, run for peanuts. You can try them if you want. However, I would recommend to save about $5-$6k before trying, you'll need it for the fuel and the maintenance. There is another company, Which I will not mention, is a lot better than Land. A lot better and fairer. STAY AWAY FROM LAND TRANSPORTATION, also known as evans delivery. One more thing, If you want to gross $2k per week and be home everyday, and run about 1500-1800mi than, this might be the company for you.

    O/O only.

That would be an incorrect statement. When I was running containers out of the Harrisburg rail yards for an O/O there was alot of money. So much that every few months he was adding trucks on. I had quite a few weeks over $1000 and home every night with no weekends. But at times it can be inconsistent. I left for a job 2 miles from my home. But the money is there in the rail containers.

Stay AWAY FROM LAND TRANS IN BENSALEM. If you want loads that pay $150 AFTER percents and toll and fuel are paid , then this is the ######## job for you. Containers out the rail at Oxford valley mall , Cabot blvd , they will send you somewhere and the load rate will be day 250 with fuel at 35 , the load is in New Jersey, Millville or Vineland , then you get there and they say bring the empty back to yard .... empty ! Toll cost is a easy $30 , take %30 out of the 250 , that comes down to $75 , 250-75 =175 plus fuel at 36 = $211 for a load that takes 1.5 hrs to get to , another 2-4 hours EASY on wait time ! Then drive back empty and pay toll at $30 , some day take Morrisville but your driving further so you don’t save anything , if you take the Whitman , $37! So let’s take away $30 from $211, that’s $181 take home , now factor in your time , it’s a easy 6 hr day with no available load after BECAUSE YOU GET BACK TO RAIL LATE ! congrats , you just made $180 as a OWNER OPERATOR for the day ####in bravo ! they are legit ####! I left there after driving with them for a year, I gave it a chance and nothing! Also, it cost $200 a week to have your truck on there policy. Parking is $80 / month which is honestly very good , I parked at the strict yard a mile up from the rail. You will take home around $1200 / week if your lucky . Don’t believe me ? Go drive , you’ll get a sweet month or two and then boom , you get PENN RUNS out of philly on Columbus that pay $118 it’ll take you 4 hrs ! Now take away fuel because that 118 take home is with the fuel added , and penn is the worst place , they take forever and they take breaks and lunch , so get a second run up and you get there say 10 am, you won’t get loaded untill after 1 pm ! And it’ll take a good hour or more to get done and then you have to go sign out and get paper work , y the time you reach 95, TRAFFIC! Your day is done, stay away , they don’t care , and there turnover rate is highest can be because of it but they dont care because they get paid for your truck , every load they take a cut . Business yea , but your the sucker with LAND.
