Comtrak Logistics

I have been with them for 22 years. They are the best company I have ever been with. I have run on the highway side and the rail, we have terminals from coast to coast but run in a regional area around the terminal you are leased out of. It takes some time to find your niche but when you do they are real flexible and will get you home every weekend if you choose to run that way. They are pretty strict on running legal and are now moving toward Qualcom and E logs. Never have problem getting my money either.

 

They must be ashamed of what they pay. They're paying BIG bonus money for new hires... And did I read it right?... another poster saying they give o/o 47% of the fuel surcharge money? Sorry if this offends anyone just looks like another run of the mill trucking company to me..

 

Andre. no offense taken everything you copied and pasted looks about right and yes we were purchased by Hub Group and we have received two raises since that happened. You asked for honest opinion about Comtrak and it sounds like you got two from operators that are glad to be working there. Comtrak is anything but a run of the mill company. No one will beg you to come work there so I guess it's time to put your big boy pants on and make a decision.....

I've been with them for about six months. Outside of the occasional ####### dispatcher I love the company. I get as much work as I want and can run legally and I'm home daily. My money has always been on time and every concern I have has was addressed promptly. I run containers strictly and I only accept drop and hooks. Fuel surcharge adjusts according to national fuel price. Currently the fuel surcharge is 41% of what the run pays.

 

Comtrak is the best Intermodal company out there, in my opinion...

 

I have a buddy who has two trucks on with Comtrak running out of the Harrisburg yards and he loves it. Looking to put on a third truck now. They treat him very well and he makes #### good money. I'd drive for him if I hadn't taken a local job driving for a company 1 mile from my house

 

Anyone been with comtrak, or still with them, out of philly area? good/bad?

 

Does anyone know how good they are with military? I'm leaving the army in a couple years and switching to active duty and want to do regional work. I live around Nashville.

 

I believe it's 47% of the load coast = fuel surcharge.
EX: load pays $100 + 47% = $147
