Movin On In the 70's, Used to love that show

 

I finally found another trucking documentary that looks to be pretty decent. The name of the doc is 'Alligator on the Zipper' and it is from 2007.

The filmmaker's web site says "Women truck drivers aren't usually thought of as American folk heroes, yet the seven women portrayed in the documentary film Alligator on the Zipper evoke the qualities of modern day cowboys. Courageous, tough and with a fierce love of freedom, they heed the call of the road that speaks to their independent spirit."

 

Convoy and smokey and the bandit are my favorites though after reading this I see there are some more to watch.

 

Got a few I enjoy. Maximum Overdrive,,and of course my all time favorite Duel,,lol. When I first started out in trucking I told my mother that the school gave each student a copy of the movie and told us to use it as a training tool..hahahaha..Needless to say I got a look that could burn through bricks on that remark..lol.

Can't believe no one mentioned Sorcerer or Wages of Fear, about hauling nitro through the South American Jungles. Awesome movies about trucking, not the lifestyle, but the driving.

Also, I'm really getting into World's Toughest Trucker, which is like the Amazing Race with truckers.
