Can you imagine how much more screwed up things would have been had this happened at your previous trucking company? You would still be waiting on Lincoln to answer. Goes to prove that issues like this happen to all trucking companies...the difference is how, and how fast they resolve it. Sometimes poop happens, it makes a difference whether the company just hands you a shovel, or jumps in and helps you dig!
any info on Poly Trucking?

Second week at Poly is in the books. I left Grand Prairie Monday morning with a load going to Sams Club in North Canton OH. I delivered that Wednesday and got my backhaul information that afternoon that I was picking up in North Kingsville OH Thursday morning and taking it to Weatherford TX for Monday morning. I just delivered the backhaul and am waiting at the plant for a dispatch back out. Summary for the week, 2711 miles and 1 paid stop for $30, plus I got a restart at my house. I'm loving this job!

#### Chemster sounds awesome, 2711 miles is good money and the extra stop pay plus you probably didn't have to touch anything did ya?
-
Chemster I might have missed it but did you tell us about the kind and quality of truck you got to choose? I'm sure it's a older Columbia but what are the specifics?
-
I got an older Columbia. It's a 2006 with 615000 on the odometer. It was pretty clean on the inside. Whoever had it before treated it nicely. It runs strong and pulls hard. They told me that I won't be keeping this truck too long because they are going to be selling all the Columbias and replacing them with Prostars. I will most likely get an older prostar next. Since all the drivers here make $.48/mile, seniority gets the newer trucks. I'm ok with that as long as the truck stays out of the shop and keeps me productive, I am fine.
I am really happy with my miles so far. Compared to Crete, I am making more money, visiting the house more, and working much less. It's the trucking trifecta!
Poorboy, so far I haven't had any driver unloads or assists. -
Cool Chemster, A buddy of mine called me and said mister allen wanted to discuss my application And possibly employment so I guess mister allen must be a boss? H?ave any of you guys heard of him?

There is an Allen M., won't give full lsat name without his permission on a public forum, who is a supervisor of some sort. Not sure if he is in chain of command for hiring though, but could be. Good luck.poorboy126 Thanks this.

123456 Thanks this. -
Thanks JD for the update and info, I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

I did pass a Volvo - Poly in Chicago traffic (only ways a Crete can pass a Poly is in traffic, if Poly's broken down, or if Poly feels sorry for us putt-putt mobile's and lets us pass - sorta like letting your kids beat you at some game they love to play...just to make them feel good). Plus I am parked 2 doors down here in Lamar PA from a Cornbinder Poly w/a Maxx-farce...I guess they fell into the "it's a good running, quality built, easy to maintain engine that'll save tons of cash" sales pitch that many others have.
