I must be doing something wrong then. Tell me, what is the exact procedures for getting detention pay approved?
Here's how the conversation basically went:
Me- No detention...
Her- did you send in your detention macros?
Me- yes
Her- oh we sent the pick up time to your truck 0800-1800
Me-nope, p/u was 0800 on the dot
Her- see the time was 1800, after that it becomes the weekend, we don't pay Layover to owner operators
At this point I just hung up because it was a waste of my minutes talking about apples (detention) and oranges (layover) with someone who doesn't know their job.
Currently at the Bloomington T+A doing a parked regen, dang light came on, it's cutting into my production time bigtime.
Good night from...

Wal-Mart, Warsaw, MO. Was supposed to load at noon, was ready at 1330. Then there was supposed to be a back haul to KC then back to the DC. Backhaul here in Warsaw cancelled. A 250 mile load became 180 for most of the day. And they want to know why I do not want to do this. After getting back to the DC this morning and then waiting for the load to be ready and then a delay at both of the two stops, did not have enough hours to get the 80 miles back to the DC tonight. Will be heading to FL on Sunday with a heavy plant load, 41K. Will still try and get something out of the DC in the morning that well give me some miles. If not, then a whopping 2000 for the week.

This swift guy I'm looking at ain't saying good night from nowhere. He's polishing the hell outta those international rims. Sorry for poor pic. Had to zoom to make him visible. -
Nope ... and still here. Actually don't mind. Load is a hard appointment for Monday morning, so getting an hour or two of detention is bonus.

Rawlins, WY at the J. Load turned out to be "dunnage and pallets" not dogfood. It also had to be reworked. Driving 2 miles to the ts scales was really weird handling. It was over 42k on 1st weigh and with the tandems all the way back, 36k.
