Emporia, KS.
If I had been on-time to my delivery in Wichita this morning I would have been in the tornado. But I knew it was coming so I delayed my departure from Santa Rosa so I'd miss the storms. When I was driving in to Wichita around 3:45/4a this morning it was windy and raining but nothing I haven't handled before.
Where are you

Sitting in Sapp Bros in SLC waiting to drop a few blocks away, then off to Denver for my final del.

Picked up my trailer in Dodge Center..And had some GREAT entertainment.Seems one ol' boy caught another taking some straps from his truck;and a shouting match, followed by a "belly bump" contest was on. As I have no time for either (and truly wish) they would have destroyed the other, sadly it ended with their throwing insults at the other getting into their respective rigs.
Maybe I should have thrown my winch bar in the mix?
Anyway an idea has been born..How about making a new Olympic Sport..'Trucker Sumo Wraslin'? Training would be simple enough,3-5 T.S. buffets a day,and drink all the beer one can. (For carbo loading) of course.
MNdriver Thanks this. -
Pro Trucker Belly Bumpin' eh? Something besides war, death and crab fishin'!
Getting ready to head up to Groveport to pickup my trailer - then turn around n' head for Kentucky. -
I suspect (though if past experience is ANY indicator MAYBE not) that I will finally have a 16' Gooseneck tomorrow morning.
About 75% of the time it will cost me more in fuel. The rest of the time it'll be darn handy! -
Lafayette IN, in a defunct yard that is actually a used trailer lot. Still has a driver lounge, but not open on Sunday...Oh well, very quiet when the trains aren't rattling by.

Rawlins, WY....pick up a load tomorrow and do something I have never done in over a dozen years of trucking....go to CA.
Born and raised there...haven't lived there since '84, and have managed to avoid it. Until now.
Yippee. -
^ Just don't be the squeaky wheel! Not too fast, not to close.
I did southern CA twice with PAM and got away with it both times! -
Good luck and enjoy.
