You are so right, last year on the week before Memorial day I pulled through CH melons from La Belle to Akron,OH for $4,400.Negotiate until you get the last penny out of brokers because otherwise if you pull cheap loads they will have you listed as a cheap carrier and you won't be able to get loads over a certain rate.

$2300 Selma, AL to Midland, TX on a dry van load, over the weekend.
