Assuming the ambient temp is above freezing, if that matters.

    Thanks,

It won't damage it if that's what you mean.

Are you shutting it down, to leave it off?

Or is there a load, and it's cycling through?

If you're shutting it down, no load. Doesn't really matter what cycle it's in.

Yes it is after the unload. Pulling the empty back to the shipper.

    Thanks!

If after unloaded I would shut it off to save fuel.Plus if you had meat in it you would have to get a wash out.It don't take long for the trl to cool to the degrees for the next load you're picking up.Just don't forget to turn it back on while getting loaded if the load requires it.

OMG! I might never eat Tyson again after pulling one of their loads, and not getting a washout immediately. 12 hours later that trailer smelled like, well, worse things than I can post here...

I can only imagine. My company has a huge account with tyson. They fix our trls and do the washouts. But i'll deffinately remember if I go back OTR with a reefer company i'll always get a washout immediately after hauling meat, lol.

well mike all reefer trailers are usually like that; remember that trailer sits in the hot sun all day then u open it up & smells like crap. what did u expect? take coffee grounds, clorox, or orange/lemon juice & put in trailer & scent will go away quickly

Can't possibly smell any worse than a dry van left in the sun for several days, loaded with used chicken boxes being sent for recycle.

I'm referring to the cardboard boxes they use to transfer dead chickens to the process plant.

I hope I never see one of those again....ever.
