Vinton, LA. Got a lucky spot at 12:00am. I had to back around a flatbed that was kind of in the way but nothing I couldn't handle. It's been a looooong day spending much of it in Katy TX. Was almost ready to leave until I noticed something askew with the bills...they loaded me with the wrong stuff headed to oregon instead of north carolina.

So they had to offload the trailer and load the correct stuff on. Wouldn't be that bad except none of this stuff is on pallets. I dropped the trailer at the dock and went over to the Love's to get lunch/dinner and came back later.

 

Askew......now when is last time ya'all heard that word.......nice job Sequoia I just remembered I am a Nodak and I spelled ya'all wrong! ###### All kidding aside....my hat is off to ladies OTR I seriously do not think I could do it. okie dokie done with my southern fake accent. Ya Sure Ya Betcha............

 

I pull an 18' 8K rated goose with my Ram 2500. But I ran all over H getting little stuff so not having the trailer was a GOOD thing!

Fixin' to go out and have another day of it. 50% chance of rain, so I'll probably not be TOO busy today.

 

load today, then headed to denver and WA...then PA....

Sitting in the sleeper berth, trying to ignore the annoying flies that keep coming in and bringing others with them.... I've put my garbage bag hanging outside window... But have cooked a meal here, which attracts these darn flies.... I like to keep my windows open for fresh air... and every summer is like this at any truck stop...

 

Hmm.Well..I guess then it's only in the Mankato area that "askew" is another way of saying "ask you."

Breaking in my NEW WHITE SNEAKERS today,and I must say they have been the topic of conversation wherever I have been.. And to think for 30 years I have put plaster casts on my arm,foot,neck-brace and my personal favorite...the arrow through the head...to get women's attention and find out today all one needs is a brand NEW PAIR OF WHITE SNEAKERS to have the ladies open up to me.

Anyway,picked up my trailer and going to leave for Memphis tomorrow..Where my Sneakers and I will be walking 10ft off of Beal..

 

Those plastic-frame window screens are worth their weight (and a bunch more) in gold. Keeps flies out, lets air in.

Oh yeah.... I had forgotten about those.... Every summer I think... I said "think" about buying them and a small fan. But I take sooooo long to decide + I hate to spend money that summer ends... Well, it's time to start thinking about buying those again. Maybe this time I will do it.
