Cab Over Trucks?

    750 hp nowdays and it's available everywhere except NA, I don't know why that is I'm sure some o/o would want them?

    Lentz in Reading, Pa still has a large fleet of COE Internationals. I see them on the road and in their lot all the time. They also have some conv daycabs too but mostly COE. Personally I loved driving a cabover when I did.

    i could never love anything that required a ladder to climb into, and get out of.

    when i was taken out of a cab over, and given a hood, i actually quit the job when they told me that i had to go back into a cab over.

    no job was worth climbing a ladder.

    Our ones don't have a ladder, our front axles are set-back and have big wide steps an well placed grab handles so cab entry isn't much harder than a conventional

    Yup, I'm just sayin that if we can do it here ye can do it there, there are many advantages of a conventional but surely there's a market for coe's in city deliveries etc, they can be made more user friendly like ours, they wouldn't replace conventionals but they'd have their uses

    cab-overs HAD a use here, but for "driver retention" many companies did away with them. we have many bad roads here, bad meaning needing repairs. none of us like to see our briefcases, or personal stuff going flying into the air when we hit bumps.

    yes, they can get into tight old city streets. but the one i had, the heat from the engine was no match for the air-conditioner.

    so a long, long time ago, they did indeed serve us, and maybe served us well. but driver comfort is what we need. i suppose the newer cab-overs ARE MORE comfortable than ever before, but once out of one, you just do not go back into one.

    again, what brand/model do you drive, is it indeed a Scania..??

    we used to have those out here years ago, but i think they didn't sell well here. probably not too many dealerships, or repair garages that could fix them..???
