Not quite a good night yet, just finishing a 2 hour break to complete the 8 hour sleeper break earlier. Picking up some more hours and bouncing out of here (where I just dropped) with another load soon.

 

No need to save my butt scale ticket or not on q p/u tcall, I scale anyway.. just saying.

Sparks, NV, the Super 8 next to the Alamo Casino. Wifey and I hitting the slots tonight. From my original ETA of 1100, got shot out the window this morning. Ran into 2 sections of construction where you wait for the Pilot car. Got there just when the person was flipping the sign over to stop. Oh well.

Did mac 30, 2 loads offered both times, McCarren to Redlands for Friday, not touching that one on a weekend near two terminals, and the other, Sacremento for Saturday. Nope. Wait and see what gets T-called here tonight. Time to start to head either east or SE.

 

Pilot in Van Horn, TX. About ran out of go-juice and lost an hour and a half I could have been driving waiting for my fuel re-op.

Talked to a friend of mine today who is an instructor at Swift Academy - San Antonio. By this time next month the school will be no more; closed and moved to Corsicana, TX. Most of the great people working there now will not be going north. Furthermore, once the school closes, Swift will no longer have access to use the Central Freight yard as our drop yard. We will be turned away at the gate if we show up.

I got my first service failure today, also I bought a new alarm clock. Oak Harbor, WA for the night.

 

Oh man that suxs big time.. Anyways in Columbus at terminal then its off to Eden and then to Paris then off to Austin to sign papers on car and pickup student

Got to 2nd p/u today and waited 4hrs to get loaded w/ 8 pallets. Grr, burnt out my 14 and lost 3hrs of driving today due to crappy planning on the planners part.. just sent in mac 22 and a nice msg to night dm.. possible SF if they don't like my reason for being late, which wasn't my fault at all.
delivery to target dc in pueblo, co tomorrow, and im sure ill get a heavy from there and head up to utah. Be nice to run up n over monarch mtn with no snow for once..
lot lizard hit me up while walking into the truck stop, said sure sexy, im in the orange truck in the back row, knock loud in 30 mins, ill be waiting.. ha, whatcha get schnieder for trying to snag my spot.

 

You never know, there might be some great people doing the gig in Corsicana...

Still in Sparks. Woke this morning comming down with something, so thought better to just stay parked. Was going to get some new steer tires, and they want $984. It would be $750 at the terminal here, but they can not balance. See if can get these to last at least another 10k miles. Having fun with the slots when I have to walk inside. Played $1 on the penny machine Panda, hit for $60. Guess that can afford to eat tonight now. Wife played $5 and got nothing. Earlier played $1 in a .25 machine and hit for $20.
