Now in Douglas, WY. Fuel mpg actually went up to 6.2. Last time I will be seeing the NW anytime in the near future. Have not seen a pplan yet getting me home outta Golden. I just know that they have those empty cans that go East. I know that I will also need to wash this trailer out when finished..

Fred lost his today too, Frank, just as he entered Utah on 80. Thankfully, all was good. What happens if you fail an inspection?
-
Zuki ... Do you know that as an owner op you get reimbursed for lumper pay? Works the same as it did when you were company. Escaped MN with a short haul down to MO with a back up to ID ... I29 in IA.

I know we get reimbursed, but I can see paying 75 bucks to move 8 boxes.. outrageously over priced.
So I found out today that the driver that sliced his palm wide open went into surgery today
as he severed a major artery, not good.. oh he was a dsw driver btw.
Tcall load here in Memphis no mac 30 availability yet. Im sure morning planner will get me something
doable..scottied67 Thanks this. -
OK I made it back to the states in one piece. Bonner's Ferry Point of Entry scales pulled me in for simple walkaround inspection. Everything was fine, until he found the right side marker light at the center of the trailer was inoperable. Written up. So I pulled over to the side and looked at it, it was soaked and corroded with green stuff, dried it off, wire brushed it and plugged back in-- voila working fine.
The reflective tape on the bumper looks like one long strip of cornchip all curled and stuff. What do you expect Swift inspector when you apply a reflective sticker to pure rust?
Onroad says take it to the nearby Petro.
I knew I should have taken that other load that picked up today in Calgary instead of this load that picked up last night as a 'favor'. The other load had twice as many miles, now I'm stuck up here no loads offered. But shix boy howdy the planners expect me to be available lol. I'm considering sending a message that I expect up to three load offers at me PTA.

MCClenney, FL.
Yes, still.
Not as bad, though.
Since I got on their schedule things have worked out pretty well.
Well, almost everything.
Last night I slept through my alarm (first time that has ever happened to me, but I was so very tired), so I wasn't there to pick up my scheduled load.
I get a call about an hour and a half later, which did wake me, telling me my load was ready.
So I jump up, get a quick pre-trip logged, and head over to pick it up.
The thing that really saved my butt was that the load wasn't ready until that call was made, so if I had been there on time I could never have completed the run.
It was a 4-stopper, the last being a live load. A couple hours between each stop.
Well, I haven't actually completed it yet. I didn't have enough time on my 14 to make it back to Walmart.
So I pull in to a Petro on I-75 and called to explain.
No problem, so what time can you be here?
Do you want me to do a Mac 22?
What's a Mac 22?, she asks me.
They don't deal with that sort of thing.
So I'll take my 10, run the last ~2 hours of this load, then pick up another short run around 0300 with 2 stops that completes by 0800 or so.
It's only around 60 paid miles, but the stop pay will help.
I'm curious to see my next pay check. Not nearly as many miles, but a lot of stops and higher cpm for the short runs.
It'll be interesting to see how it works out.scottied67 Thanks this. -
Are you still on the WalMart account moose?
-
Yes that's how the Wallyworld world works. Pick up a multistop load, deliver then camp out over night someplace and meaner back and do it again.
Forgot to say--- Nice to meet you the other day MicaBay! Sorry to cut it short like that though it was cold for this California boy. Funny I got over to the Petro that morning after meeting you and the load I was waiting to be tcalled up in Usk finally arrived as I was just getting out of the truck to go take a shower. Delivered to Calgary and got back to Usk today, was offered a nice one from Usk to Lafayette LA but it was just as quickly removed. Somebody scored lol.
Where you headed next? -
Here at the denver terminal. After taking 3 trailer over to Coors for a can load, all 3 rejected, found a 4th one and said the heck with it. Will just get a start in the morning. Well, did road Ready on the Kiosk, and received my kit. It is one heck of a kit. Will have to take some time when home and go through it all. The wifey was impressed.
