I moved lol figured it was safer on the street in front of my drop, at least this is where Prime told me to drop it... Good news is there are shingles in there lol Theres 2 other trucks sitting behind me. Not sure about the pickup with the camper...

Ya lol Not much goin on over this way lol Too dangerous at the Pilot. Saw more SWIFTs pulling in. One guy from another company wanted the spot next to me. Told him to let me out, then he could try to hit one of the 2 spots.

Seems like those of us who stay in the Northeast don't have those hood-clearing issues so much. It's either more experience with putting the trailer into tight spaces, or maybe the lack of parking in general :)

I havent had any issues. Its just that place sucked. Hope I never have to go back there. But if I pick up from Owens Corning, Im have to go back n scale out. Better be heading back east so I can get to the yard. I want some time off.

You did the best/ right thing. :yes2557: That Pilot sucks big time! I avoid tight truck stops like those. I know I'm not a good backer.... but like you, I worry a lot about someone hitting me or having a hard time trying to leave early in the morning... So, I rather go to a rest area, or a Wal-Mart supercenter or even park at the customer's parking area (if they allow) rather than to a tight, stinky Pilot like that. I'm at a nice, big Flying J right now in MI. Got me a great parking spot with no one in front of me but the exit... That's what I like. :yes2557:

Was at that Pilot in Columbus, OH last Friday night... :biggrin_25510: another small, tight, stinky, always full Pilot. I never tried to park there with the trailer.... and sometimes couldn't find parking spot even without trailer... Some folks have to park on the dark dead end street... I rather park at the Wal-mart supercenter nearby...
