You know Ghostchild, I wish I had the ability to make decisions quickly and find my passions without much difficulty... It took me years, decades to find out that driving a truck over the road was the closest I could get to live the way I wanted. I wish I had started trucking many years ago... I can imagine how much more fun and free and profitable trucking was 10 or 20 years ago. If I had started 10 years ago like you, maybe nowadays I would be looking for something else to do.... maybe. I see this industry changing very quickly and I don't like it... the new technology, the electronic logs, the regulations, it's a lot of control over my life... I hate being controlled... and I'm afraid it's going to get worse... But hey, I LOVE the road, I like to drive the truck... So... will have to find a way to make a living and stay on the road. I don't want to be a company driver for the rest of my life. Heck no!! Have been self-employed most of my life and would like to go back to that in the future. For now, I rejoice in what I have and take care of my priorities (which are not trucking related).
