Still finishing up my 34 in Raphine, VA but got a preplan for a 13 roll, 38k paper load picking up 52 miles back up in the hills, Covington, VA, headed for Holyoke, MA in the morning. Finally got the steers balanced this morning but they also found the LF brake drum warped so bad it wouldn't let the wheel spin freely with the brakes off. I sent my fleet manager an email earlier about taking my (company) truck to outside shops for B services in the future because I have no confidence in the company shops due to them missing obvious safety items like air leaks, hung up brake shoes and warped brake drums.I doubt it will be allowed but there's a 50/50 chance if I ask and zero if I don't.

That would be nice! My truck leans to left and three Swift shops couldn't figure out why. The last had the attitude that since it has 420000 miles, wasn't worth fixing...

Two more reasons why I leased my own truck. Swift will NEVER work on my truck, I won't even let them do a DOT inspection.

Picked up a tcalled loaded, sealed, locked trailer at the Sumner terminal yesterday for delivery up in Vancouver British Columbia. OK nobody had a key for the lock on the trailer, mac 22, they say get ahold of Onroad lol. Onroad say wait til the shop opens in 4 hours. Long story short I was mega late and my stacked load was removed while getting unloaded at my first stop. Mac 30 got me an even nicer load going to Lost Angeles. Also pulled off. Now I'm thinking I'm being punished. Finally in the end they put my stacked load back on.

Then there was a problem with the manifest that was faxed -- not having my re-entry information straight. See when you go to Canada you'd have to fax all the paperwork to the broker first then wait for confirmation. Coming back, when you pick up your load you have to fax the bills to Troutdale and again wait for someone to check the fax machine over there in the corner and authorize your re-entry.

Anyway, I'm finishing my split break here in Bellingham WA, first scale I found to check out my load, 79,040 total and 33,800's tractor and trailer weights. I was almost going to have to jettison some weight like Abby lol and my snow chains. Turning and burning for Vegas Friday morning....

Still at home. Today the little wifey detailed the inside of the truck. Said that wanted it clean before head back out on Friday.

At a Petro on top of a hill in Pittstown, PA. They named the town after this place. I think its near Wilkes Barre.

At the Pilot in Fort Worth, about 3 miles from my delivery tomorrow @ 7:00 am. Been here since about 1:30 pm, shame I couldn't deliver today. I decided to try IdleAire for the first time. So far I'm impressed. It's a comfortable/quiet 72 degrees in the cab of my truck. The IdleAire unit also includes a cable TV hookup, electrical outlets, and an ethernet plug-in for internet. Will definitely use them again.

At a TA in Milldale, CT where I would have had to pay $15 for 8 hours of a split except I fueled here so I'm good. I pick up at Kimberly Clark, 20k load, going to Gas City, IN at 10:30 tonight. I'll run 250-300 miles off it tonight, run it in tomorrow and get far, far away from the Northeast although I will still be within reach of the Memphis plannners on the weekend which is a bad thing. As insane as it is to drive around here I have to give 98% of the people credit for using the acceleration lane to actually accelerate and match speed before they merge onto the highway.
