So .. I get my drop and hook in Memphis and had a sweet 720 mile 10K load preloaded trailer for the weekend that fit my hours like a glove. Grab the trailer, pretrip ... both side of the tandem rails are cracked ... take over to the terminal to have it looked at .. trailer red tagged and load tcalled for transload ... so here I sit, screwed over, no load because some other driver was to lazy to do a pretrip and/or do anything about the problem.

And when you go in and get a shower ... maybe that was the one I did the deed in ... :biggrin_2559:

Still in Carlisle. What was supposed to be 1800 pu, actually 2100. Customer told me that Swift does this all the time, wrong times. Now it will be pretty much a overnighter, at least until the wee hour before another 10, and the worst, pu 2 hours shy of getting a 34. the way that it has been going for the last 2 months as far as loads and miles, seriously thinking about starting to pu some magazines, especially since the wife is not happy.

We are in Pennsylvania I 70 eastbound just inside the border. We have been split breaking since Fort Worth Texas. Picked up in FW delivered to Davenport Iowa 800+ miles then deadheaded 100 some miles to pick up another 800+ mile load going to Virginia. Got a preplan, load picking up at the same place we are dropping (sweeet) going up to Michigan for Monday afternoon. Will finally get a break, phew.
We've been hammer down since Iowa and looks like the best we can do is between 2 and 4 hours late (depending on if the 8 hour break I'm on now gives me enough hours to complete the last little 240 miles) then hopefully do a 2 hour break at the shipper and bounce out.

Where I picked up the load (and delivering) it is a high security operation type of place. I read too late that no dogs or pets are allowed. So I got there and checked in, they want to hold your cell phone and your lighters if you have them lol. I asked about what to do with my dog, they hummed and hawed for a minute while I pleaded my case, saying if they refuse to load me, I get a service failure, plus have to deadhead out for me next load which would probably be Monday (it was Friday). But the guy was cool and let me bring Abby into the guard shack while I did the drop and hook.

Fred is home for the weekend. He got here about 1:30 AM today. It's his birthday, so we've had a little celebration dinner and now we're about to watch a movie. You all stay safe.

At a Pilot in Fernley, NV. Got tired out by the wind today and, between that and a surge of common sense, decided not to go on in to Reno tonight. It's not good to play cards all tired out; I might as well have handed over my money at the door and left. I used to really love to gamble but it doesn't seem like the fun it was. Only about a six hour drive to Medford from here so I'm going to sleep late, take it easy and enjoy the scenery.

Somerset, PA. The place that I picked up was not kidding about letting you out b4 your scheduled time. Nine PM means 9PM, and not 5 minutes sooner, even though this trailer has been loaded and sitting since last night. ##### Costco loads.
