If one is not careful, one may continually take what I call these 'stupid loads' trying to get to that 'money lane' and end up in a very big hole.

    You were smart.

Just saying, though, that I doubt that a load is assigned based upon whether you are company or L/O or O/O.
I could be wrong, of course.

I always check the BOL to see if it has a delivery time on it. Quite useful for figuring if a load is plus 1 or not. :biggrin_25523:

The planners are supposed to look and see if the load that they are sending is going to a company driver or L/O, especailly if have a few in the area. When they started changing the numbers on the trucks, then it just became harder. Before, they could see the number and right away know what the truck is.

    Moosetek13 Thanks this.

You're right of course, it's always helpful to have the BOL in hand. The problem is you don't have the BOL when you are trying to decide whether or not you can or want to do the load when it comes to you as your next load or preplan.

    I think Plus-1 has the 4th off.
I got a preplan today with the time windows intact on both ends.

I got a preplan this afternoon that would have required time travel. There is no way I can drive 200 miles today and get there by 7/3 23:00.

    Wilma and scottied67 Thank this.

All of the preplans and mac 30 load offers today were time travel loads. I accepted one load, 600 miles then the Next Load Info said it was 900 miles. I declined with reason that load cannot be delivered in the time specified on macro 30. Then I got a message that load was previously committed to, cannot decline. Ultimately it was removed. I guess I need to watch the Macro 9 video they are harping about.

    That video is just saying...
Tell us the hours that you can do the load in.

    Old news.

I fully understood the Plus-1 system months before this video came out.

And I fully expect my actual load assignment to have different times than that of the preplan.
    But, I'll play the game.
My loaded call will have the new delivery time of the load assignment. Then I'll do a Mac 22 with the latest time of the preplan, giving the reason that I accepted the load with that time.
Then I will get there as soon as I can, and pick up my next load - and play the game yet again.

    scottied67 Thanks this.

I too have the time allowed change from the pre-plan to dispatch. It's usually involves a t-called load. Today the times went from a 48 hr window (on both pickup & delivery) to "no appointment" HUH??
