Perishable Haul Temperatures

    Most of the moisture collects on the evaporator coil just like a house or vehicle AC. You'll see the drain hose usually in the right front of the trailer extending down from the reefer unit. You need to check that hose if you don't see water dripping out of it. They do clog on occasion.

    Ha! Me too. I think it's a great place to learn things too. There's also two drain pipes (rubber actually ) on the unit itself. Those are so the unit can defrost and let go of condesation that has built up.

    If you ever buy a reefer trailer of your own watch if you decide to go with a fancy paint scheme you want heat reflective colors, also do not PAINT the undercarriage a DARK color , absorbs reflective heat off the road surface in hot weather, adds extra cooling load to the unit.

    and don't be afraid to do a manual defrost once in a while in the hot humid weather the auto defrost isn't perfect..
