I had my wife with me from day one. If you get a mid-roof Pete, room for two is very iffy.

In Grand Prairie on a 34. Should be heading east tomorrow night. I am cooking my first roadpot(crockpot) meal right now. Organic chili and cheesy rice. Should be enough for 4 meals.
Hope to see some fireworks somewhere on the 4th. Pulled a 57' trailer for the first time today.
Its a LONG way back and you have to watch the swing out on turns but all in all not too bad.
Also had a detour that took me right through the ghetto on my way out of Houston yesterday. W/a 57. Fun.
Lots of freight everywhere waiting for trucks.

In KC, MO loading to get to NC and then home. Obviously I went north instead of east and wont be home today but more like Mon/Tues.. I will make sure it doesn't happen again. So much of what happens out here is on the individual and the choices you make(and the loads you accept). I got to watch some cool fireworks on the 4th in Missouri though. All I know is its HOT, and my AC is gold. Also, my payraise started on the first and I now have Health, dental and vision. Ill be in NC tomorrow. Momma I'm coming home.

Haven't heard that...all I know is that I'm OTR and they put me in one of those tiny Petes....not enough room and they suck....

All new trucks are manuals. And all the new Petes they have been getting in are condos. I have a 2012 that ismidroof. I never had a condo so I think there is room for what you need to be out 2 weeks.
It has 1 cabinet I use for a closet, 1 for a pantry, cleaning supplies and medicine cabinet and the coffin(underbunk) cabinet for tools, spare mudflaps, oil, straps, crockpot, emergency water, brooms etc..
I also have a 12v cooler full of homecookin, salad, snacks, sandwich fixins and cold drinks. I keeps trashcan, more drinks and a backpack in the floor of the pass side. I think a real estate agent would describe it as "cozy". You can't be messy or disorganized though. No room for clutter.
The AC and stereo are great, it shifts and pulls well and for a new driver, I think its fine.

How do you keep the floor clean? Its hard to sweep whats in the back to the front because of that rubber.
