2 blown loads in a row. First one, made delivery as reported but was refused due to no bill of lading. Going back and forth with phone calls and messages for over 13 hours before resolution. The Swift pod kept claiming there was no BoL on file, I'd have to make a handwritten one. Finally when push came to shove the driver leader finally got their fat butt up off their video game and faxed the Bill of Lading that was 'not on file'.
Next load showed Do Not Bobtail to shipper and I had asked for an empty trailer a couple times with no response. Finally the answer was to just bobtail over. I already knew this wasn't going to work and when I got there of course there were no preloaded trailers, everything is solid live loads at this small facility. I asked to have it taken off my truck so I could get something else, the answer back was just hang out next to the dock doors, someone will assist you. Really? That is in the comments for the consignee genius, lol. Finally they voided the load, but of course I seem to be in the center of a dead freight zone. I may move over to Las Vegas or go on up to Salt Lake City.
Moosetek, when you're getting low on fuel Otter says to use 1/8 instead of 0/8 for your fuel level. Somehow the system doesn't understand 0. I recommend when it gets down a little below 2/8ths, consult your fuel stop book (looking out for yourself and helping Swift too by not being too far away from fuel) and send a freeform message stating you're critical low on fuel. A good time to do this is about an hour before you project being at the fuel stop. If you still don't have an answer by the time you get there, send another message that you can't go any further without fuel and they will turn you on.
I will add too, when I was a company driver I never put in more than 75 gallons even if the fuel route instructed to top off. I tried to get fuel every day or every other day for the shower and points. When you top off the system seems to think you're good for 1000 miles but I always tried to get enough to get through the day and then some. I looked at the fuel stop book every day and basically used back of the envelope math to ensure 75 gallons was enough to get to the next place and/or at least finish my load without running out.
Good night from...

Decided to stop where I know that there is parking, 50 miles from my desitination, Temple, GA. Have until noon tomorrow to make it. Easily could have done a 34 along the way, but decided, just keep bumping the 70, this way plus 1 and the planners can not run the crap out of me. Now lets see in the morning what they have to get me back to Fontana for the 3rd, HT request.

Currently hanging out at the Columbus terminal. The BS is flying THICK here today.
Delivered my load this morning, waiting til 9:45 tonight to head over to WV to pick up my load to Laredo and Brownsville, TX. Except for the 21:15 delivery time at the forwarder in Laredo (I've never seen a forwarder open that late) looks like a great load.HwyPrsnr Thanks this. -
The BS is always thick at that terminal. There are some forwarded in Laredo that are drops, 24/7. Just make sure that you remember an inspection form
-
I just left there 4 hrs ago...what BS is flying around over there???...I do know same drivers sitting around terminal when i got there and then left... while i caught up on rest, ate, showered, cleaned my truck up....chatted hrs with a filipina....had quallcom repaired, and recieved and planned load...hahaha....
-
Shouldn't need an inspection as it's a drop/stop at the forwarder. The rest of the load is headed for Brownsville.

Headin for Lancaster to drop student off so he can get his purdy shiny white Volvo

Received a pplan, pu in Decatur and take just north of Nashville for the evening. Shoots the day and nowhere heading to Fontana for the 3rd. Declined it with reasons, no miles, home time, need to see back up. no answer and still on me. The miles were 264 ldd. If going to take a short load, need to head in the direction of the SE and not north. Another example of the planners are just trying a driver to bite on a load to cover it, and forget HT requests.

That's weird Scottie... They had my load ready to roll when I got there... no one was even there. Just a note on the door saying pull trl from the dock, your paper work will be in the back...
Currently sittin in Denver two drops tomorrow, then Gonna take the afternoon off at Johnson's Corner in Loveland.scottied67 Thanks this.
