MicaBay, there were no trailers or anybody home at that shipper in Cedar City UT the other day. I finally got them to remove the load and then I sent mac30 and it popped up again lol.

Anyway did the 36 hour break and bounced out to Los Angeles/LongBeach. Thanks to reading Frank's heads up on I605 I was able to re-route and got to the final at 0928 for a 0930 appointment. Traffic sucks in the LA toilet basin lol.

Emptied out, got a preplan for another load just 4 miles away. Comments say bring only trailers that will pass pretrip or get a service failure. So I got there and they rejected the trailer as too dirty inside. Went around the corner and got a 5 minute trailer washout everything was cool-- drop hook. Only the preloaded trailer I picked up had a problem with one of the tandem pins-- the slide plate was bent halfway around blocking it from going into the hole. And the stopper bar in the back was hanging by rust-- about to fall off at freeway speeds and hurt someone. So I took it to the Wilmington terminal and they referred me to Mira Loma for the job. Supposed to deliver in Reno tomorrow AM but that is not going to happen now. Probably a good thing, I had 7 hours left when I picked it up and was looking for where to take a 10 on 395, looks like there is not one truckstop with parking along the route til you get into Nevada?

I'm looking forward to the trip, never been that way plus this is my bonus money load for the week.

Still in Buckeye. Got a pplan to Las Vegas, 316 miles, just before I dropped off my paper load today and grabbed it. Much better place to do a 34 than in or near the Phoenix hive. When I picked up the load, Costco, I discovered it was 4k overweight so had to get it reworked. Relatively painless but it was after 3pm when I pulled out so I decided to run it up in the morning.

Scottie, there are a lot of little independents on 395 and 95. Its an easy ride as well. Watch out for the wild horse and burro herds up in Nv. A driver told me they'll run off if you get out of your truck but have no fear of moving trucks and will stroll out in front of you. The horses and burros I saw the other day look real healthy; I'd hate to hit one at speed.

Still sitting here in Houston. FR8Monkey, plenty of fr8 here, just that it is all crap, lots going to Laredo. Was sent 4 pplans so far, 1 to Laredo, 1 to pu in Houston, and deliver in Houston, LUNLD, then live load paper and t-call in Lancaster and pu another on 8/3 and del on 8/6. Forget home time. Been planning on this home time for 3 weeks, a large get together. Seriously think about re-posit now to San Antonio.

Just headed out of Gary 30 min ago, student is driving I'm about to get some sleep. Heading to somewhere near Harrisonburg,VA then picking up in Elkton and heading right back to Monee,IL, then from there pu in Cicero,IL, tcall that in New Boston then a pickup in Flint,MI and we are off to Reno,NV. Did the fleet mgr a favor today so he hooked me up by stacking me up on loads, he had to work me over to where the good one is though, I saw the screen myself and most of the loads were crap.
