With them buying so many other companies lately like Hiner, Continental, USF Glenn Moore, and the dry van side of FFE (can't remember the exact name, but is American Eagle or ???) I wasn't sure, since it sounds like they're trying to be another US Xpress(or as I refer to them US-Arnold-Total-Abileen-Express)

I dont know, Im just asking, is Warner as bad as some say? They have some of the same programs as the other carriers. And for that matter, Us Express is all automatics, could it be more lazy than that?

Glad it's good for you...I've done nothing but run from OH to PA to OH to PA, now have a 360-miler that delivers at 0200 Saturday. Not happy about this week at all. In fact, if they p/p me to go back to PA after I'm empty Saturday morning, I'll refuse it. I've already sent a message to my AM about it.
3600 last week. 1800 this week. -
Off to Coryland I go. I delivered to Lima, OH at midnite, then they sent me a few miles down the road to P&G to pick up a load going to Wilton, NY for Saturday...635 miles, and right up the state from Rotterdam. Hopefully I can get a load out of there, most of their loads are light, and long(at least 1000+)...With this load I should be in the 2300's for August by the afternoon of the 4th...I hope they can keep this pace up a while, or at least I hope I can keep being at the right place at the right time. I was offered a load enroute to my Lima delivery from the Dayton, OH area going to Mitchell, SD, but couldn't do it. The York, PA load started me down the wrong path of using hours to get to the delivery just before the appointment instead of getting there the night before and having hours to run after delivery. I delivered at midnite, the load had to be picked up at 0600, but I had started my day in Mauston, WI...so 6 am was way after my 14 and not enought time to even do a split and the shipper didn't have parking. But I will look at the bright side, I don't know how good the freight is up in SD, so maybe I am better off this way. P&G had a big stack of loads in Crete's shelf when he was looking for my load...It is nice to see abundance

put them together and its 5400...that's 2700/week. When I start having up and down weeks like that, I have to remind myself not to look at the weekly miles, but the monthly since the bill collectors send me their bad news on a monthly basis.48Packard Thanks this.

I had that run up to Mitchell, SD to the Graphic packaging plant, I picked up right back out of there with a load to California. Picked up at a paper place a few days ago in Eau Claire as well (toilet paper), perhaps just missed you.

US Xpress had not bought an automatic since 2009!
Almost all automatics have been sold or leased. Everyone I meet is in newer trucks with 10 speeds at USX.Last edited: Aug 4, 2012

Got a 3 stopper from Cedar Rapids to Denver finished up today, preplanned for a run starting tomorrow, a Coors run from Denver to Georgia. about 3000 miles between the 2 runs and the d/h.
Ralph4159 Thanks this. -
Heard today that Celedon bought out US Logistics or something close to that...500 truck company...walked into their terminals and fired all of the drivers on the spot. Gave them each 50 dollars to get home.
Nice people.
