Lake Havasau City and darn, it is hot. Pulled in and the temp was 108. After a nice cool nite last nite, tonight is going to bite. Mac 30, nothing right now. I wonder if that is because even after I told them to cancel my home request, they have not so not getting any offers. I know that there are always something for Monday comming out of that area. On a side not, I HATE I-40 IN AZ.

It took me two weeks to cancel my hometime because the FM had to do it. Neither my DM or I could cancel it.

Hondo, TX at an abandoned Walmart with a bunch of oilfield guys. They are all drunk but say they'll be ready to roll out at 5am. Reminds me of when I lived in an oilfield town in CA.

Luckily my DM can change the date and location. He was going to do it last Friday but decided to wait until Monday and see what plays out.

That sucks. I've had to do that before also, but look at the bright side instead of waiting til Monday on a little 188 mile load, you got it fixed and got in position for the next load. Chances of getting paid for reworking the load are very slim. I had a 4 stopper once, they loaded the stops backwards in the trailer. I had to unload the entire trailer and reload it in the proper order, never got paid for that.

Repositioned myself down to Troutdale. Had one load offer for Brooks Alberta that I had accepted last time I was up here, and it was pulled off my truck and the 3 other load offers were all Thursday or Friday deliveries. I'm only at about 900 miles for this week. Not feeling the love....

Made it to Reno, sitting at Sparks terminal right now. I think things are going much better here. Me and student had a little talk and things are going much better now. Set my pta out to 2300 cause he needs to do his review and I need to sleep a little sitting still.

Here in Coachella now. Another hot day. Pulled in and it was 114. Have no idea about the temp during the night yet. For the first time in the almost 18 months that I have had this truck, idled all night. Not even the cold air fan and the other two fans could keep the truck cool. The better half is somewhat used to this heat. In some cities in China, 115 and 100% humity. Got lucky today. Dropped my load and BT over to Fontana. Could not find a MT there either, so talked to the T-call window, and mind you, drivers are waiting and freight is slow, and the planner at the window told me, got a load that is ready to PU, here is where there is a MT and, Frank, get this, 15K, going to Houston for Thursday. Right now I am hoping that I have the hours. Found out that I actually have until noon on Friday to del, so if Weds my E-logs does not say pu up any hours for thursday, then I will get as far as possible. DM t-called it back on me in El Pasa, so end up the week with 2950 miles. COOL. then start the week off with another 700. Just hope that I can deliver on Thurs with hours to spare.

On a side note, this has been my day for tour buses. This morning, 5 a.m. in Lake Havasu, 2 buses, Japanese tourists. Poor Susan having do to what she needed. And then this evening, 2 tour buses of Mexican, with a waiting line leading out of the door. Now can not believe the idiot truck drivers around this Loves, all kinds of parking, but they would rather block people in, even when I got here early,
