I probably will not leave that early. Shop guys don't get in until 5:30 or 6. The quarry is not open till 7.

Rolled in home just after 18:00.

STARK difference from LAST night! The car moving thing turned into a comedy of errors.
We tried to bring a compact Kubota tractor home, on a trailer that LOOKED like it might have come with it. NOPE! 40 miles an hour and it started fishtailing.

So we went back to Coldspring, unloaded the tractor, loaded the back of that truck with scrap metal. Then went back up to the front which is all level. Got ready to roll AGAIN...

And the car trailer had a flat. We took a less than desirable tire from the other trailer and finally got rolling.

I rolled in last night just shy of 24:00.... Then got up 05:45...

I ain't gonna be awake much longer!

Anybody in Resaca, GA? Delivering tomorrow morning somewhere else in Ga. Was going to pass through Atlanta and park close to consignee but because of this ####### elog, had to park here to avoid going 4 or 5 mins beyond my 11... :biggrin_25510: and then will have to fight ####### Atlanta traffic in the morning... :biggrin_25510:

I'm not there now, obviously, but I have spent the night there before. It was a Sunday night, I had just come through Atlanta after a race :biggrin_25521: Was going to stay at the Flying J, but as soon as I pulled in some guy came up to my window and wanted me to step to the back of a trailer to check out the cheap gold jewelry. Kinda spooked me, so I had a motel coupon book, went back about 2 exits and got a very cheap motel room for the night. GA has very cheap rates on motels.

You be extra careful in that morning traffic. Me, I'm about to head out the door to work, again. One day down, 4 to go. I think I'll work 10's until Friday, then I'm gonna head out after 9 hours. 49 hours for a week doesn't seem too bad, considering I'll have to miss one day next week to take the dear one to the doctor.

Dispatch says "Got one for the morning. Ready at 8am cutoff 9am."

Read that as get to SDV. Shippng says "no paperwork". Call dispatch. Dispatch calls shipper.

Slide up to the desk at the receiver at 08:59......

Hey Teddy_Bear... I bet you are handling your job in a more "easy" way than at the beginning... aren't you? I called consignee yesterday and asked if they could unload me sooner... and they said "Yes!" :biggrin_25519: So, I just took my 10 and rushed out of that FJ to avoid rush hr traffic in Atlanta :yes2557: Now I'm at dock waiting for them to unload me. Found a "good" place to park at FJ yesterday, easy in and out... :biggrin_25525:Man, oh man.... That place was packed when I left this morning... That's why I prefer to park at a nice rest area or even at customers instead of these busy truck stops.

This morning didn't go bad at all. Dropped the 09:00 freight at
08:32. Now parked at a usual place....

Under a tree outside of SDV.
