sitting under a shade tree in sight of air france where I just ate lunch.
a comedy of errors earlier today. the original dispatch said it would be a box that would fit in the back of my truck.
the reality was two very large boxes that I needed the trailer for.
did not need it for the most recent delivery but, it is too much trouble to go unhook it just to hook it again!
Where are you

Bakersfield CA waiting.............waiting..............waiting some more.

Nothing going my way... Back at the Fortworth Pilot, checking Carrier Central every 5 minutes to see if it's something going my way or one with good money on it. Not really in it for the money but if I can't get a 34 off it I rather be able to pay a fine.

No, he will not forget this. He's been over most all the passes, but this was his first real hairy experience. Turns out the trailer brake pads were miss-matched, and cammed-over. They were just hanging out of the drums. That along with the valve going out. Needless to say, after getting them repaired, he took it real slow down Vail and Eisenhower.
Never heard that saying until now TB, I like it thanks!! Oh the Mrs. asked if I wanted her to come get me. I declined, because boss wouldn't like us to leave a truck unattended in a rest area, and just staying the truck I could be sure to leave as soon as my 10 was up, and that's what I done. Didn't really help much, due to the construction along US-50. One of them we sat for 10 mins, moved 60 ft, then stopped again for another 10-15 mins. These construction companies need to learn how to keep traffic moving. It's obvious they don't have a clue or care about the big trucks that are on real tight time schedules.
Anyhow I'm back home, will be going to the ear doc tomorrow morning. My hearing-aids are cracked and wanting to fall apart. So I'll see if they can be rebuilt or if I'll have to buy a new set. I hope it's not the latter, they're real expensive, around $3k-$6k a set. -
You are not staying 17 miles from your house for 10 hours....really?
