Yep, sure did. We have those snitch-boxes (Peoplenet), and boss will not tolerate HOS violations. When I pulled into the rest area, I had 1 min left of my 14, but still had enough of my 11 to have made it to the house. We're not on Elogs, still loose-leaf paper, but they are constantly compared to the snitch-boxes. Caught violating and your history!!
Where are you

A tire on my tractor blew out today but I only noticed at the end of my driving shift during my PTI. The tire was there, just lose on the rim and it had a big screw on it and a crack or cut on the outside wall. I didn't hear, didn't notice or didn't feel anything during my driving. Good thing I wasn't heavy. Called breakdown immediately and they sent roadside repair right away. This is one of the things I like about being a company driver. And this company really has a good breakdown department.
I'm in KS, going to TN tomorrow.

I now have 3 PC's sitting at my desk and I can only use 1. We are all supposed to have new ones with Windows 7, and apparently the 3 news ones have it, but we can't get logged into them. I called the support folks, and they discovered mine wasn't set up for my user ID. They said they would build a new one for me, and send it overnight. I got it, and still can't log in. It's set up for our OSR, who uses it maybe an hour or 2 every few days. They wanted to know how close I am to an OC, told them 4-5 hours. I'm about to tell the boss I'll take all of them there and tell them exactly what we all need. I'm getting really good at hooking them up and unhooking them.
That Murphy dude didn't find us yesterday. One of the best days I've had in about 2-3 weeks. Maybe things are starting to settle down and fall into a pattern.

One thing about this job, Pete, there's always change. I just keep wishing several times a day that they will just tell me my number finally came up and I'm going to be hired as a permanent full time employee. This week and next I get to work normal hours, then the last week of the month it's back to 4-10's (or 12's). At that point I'll have worked every possible shift this month.
Rocks, my dear, I'm glad the tire didn't cause you any problems. Seems like it could have been a bad situation, which was avoided.
Eaton, I used to have a visor clip with that saying on it. You're welcome to use it yourself when the situation arises. I only wish more people on the highways would think about it before they include me in their craziness. I think most of the drivers on my way home last time took an extra dose of stupid pills. Man there were some wild and cray drivers out.
