Knoxville, TX. Another nice lite load. (Frank, had to say that just for you). All of 11k, going to Winchester, VA. My DM knows that I need a pplan for Sunday that is heading home to either arrive late Monday morning or late Sunday evening. If not, I will be doing a Scottie, dh all the way home, all of 300 miles. It will be a first, but after not getting me home my last request, and out 5 weeks now, I will pull the trigger as soon as I drop on sunday afternoon and put it in the wind.

Nice parking spot here, cool breeze, and no place for a truck to park next to me and block it. Perfect sleeping weather tonight. And now, with all of the parking around here that is open, a ##### truck just had to park on the other side of me, and idle. This lot is almost empty. Murphy's Law.

Let's see, my last post was goodnight from Terrell TX. From there I delivered to McDonough GA. They live unloaded the thing faster than it took to check in with the gate guard, who had told me to drop it in a dock and pick up another empty along the fence. When I went in to check out with the paperwork, the gal asked me to take my trailer off the dock so it wouldn't be in the way. Double drop hook lol. Still had 45 minutes on the clock so was able to get to the TA down the road for a much needed shower (very muggy in the southeast).

Mac 30 showed a lazy 500 some mile load pu Friday del Sunday and hot load pu Friday 150 mt 900 loaded deliver Saturday morning. I pushed del out to midnight and it was assigned to my truck no problem.

Headed for the cooler climes of Wisconsin. Aiming for Phoenix next, looking to sell my truck and lease the bigger sleeper T660 next, but I am curious about the Freightliner Coronados that I have seen down in Laredo, wondering if they lease those bad boys.

I'm at the columbus terminal, where I've already had another driver try to bum money off of me :(

I did feel good about walking the several miles to go get dinner though. Gotta stay in shape some how :)

I'm in Mt Home at the peelot. Got a load going home, after only six days out. Normaly wouldnt complain, but I brought my wife with me and hasn't been running hard at all... In fact I have 20
on my 70 and recap starts coming off tomorrow... Last paycheck was small...

What is the scoop with short loads? I though we were supost to get extra $$ for a local run? Getting paid $.31 for 5 hours of sitting in a dock ain't exactly what I call motivation to take short loads....

Thanks, guys. I will be in touch after I talk to Lucy Herrera in Phoenix Monday. Has anyone had any dealings with her?

Salina, KS at the Flying J. Steak was great! Deliver in Norfolk, NE by noon and hoping for a load headed for Ellensburg, WA for hometime. Fr8 got the load that would have worked but why complain. I was only supposed to be there last Wednesday.
    Frank

    Update:
Just accepted pplan, #43k P&G load to Shafter, CA that delivers Tuesday. Not exactly WA but at least west and 2672 miles, 2 loads, and 2 days to go in the pay period. Sweet.
