I do not believe I am taking too long to hangup the pump and moving up my truck to pump reefer fuel... but every now and then at a Pilot or Flying J I put in tractor fuel, DEF, then when I pull up to put in reefer fuel, the screen on the fuel island is either blank, stuck showing an ad, or displays "fueling" when nothing is coming out of the nozzle. Does this happen to you sometimes as well? Is there a way to fix it? I try hitting cancel and waiting but I noticed it doesn't do anything so I just pull off. I wonder does the next behind me do something to fix it or what?
Does the pump stop working for you sometimes when you need to pullup for reefer fuel?

Haven't bad that problem, but yeah to make sure it doesn't happen. I do what the other 2 Posters suggested.

D'oh!!!...... So you three are getting fuel receipts for road fuel at the full taxation level including IFTA fuel duty and then squirting it into the reefer tank where it wasn't subject to that tax and should have been cheaper. Good job! I take it that your company drivers. I bet your boss is pleased. Lol.

P.S. Why don't you just select "tractor" and then when you have finished and pulled forwards swipe your card a second time for the reefer as a seperate transaction.
That way you get an extra half a shower each time you fill up. -
Panhandle flash Thanks this.

well excuse us wire for fueling the way the company told us to
i am sure the company gets to deduct road tax from the reefer
maybe you were thinking we werent resettting the pump first
some pilots if your not quick will reset before you get pulled up to put reefer fuel in -
You can deduct the road tax for reefer fuel.....as long as you know how much was used. Tough to do if it's on same receipt as truck.
I use No.2 heating oil in my reefers, no taxes and perfectly legal.
