I was just at Arnold orientation. They don't have "clerks" administer the orientation. The person you are referring to works in SAFETY. And she didn't/doesn't "scream". When one of the guys in orientation acted the fool, she let them know about it. She was strict, that's all. So I call BS on your post and I don't even believe you were at orientation. Or maybe you were one of the guys who got sent home and now you're sour grapes?
I've been training now for the last few weeks. Arnold is a great company and professionally run. Your impression is not the reality.

Hehehe.......she was in safety and she was a clerk and she did scream!
Very unprofessional, regardless!
Dont know what type of companies you've worked in your career but to act like that with threats like "none of you people have been hired yet!" screaming!!! If you were there you remember that!
You just don't fly off the handle and go berserk in front of prospective
employees! Most corporations would suspend or even fire an employee
for such behavior.......and for your info I am driving for them
solo! Arnold is a good company but she crossed the line!
And did I mention she is a clerk?!? Apparently you didn't get one
of her business cards!Last edited: Aug 26, 2012

Got my first overweight ticket yesterday. I forgot GA doesn't have a bridge law(which is worse, read more expensive) than being overweight. Last scale on 75 before ATL and I get the red on the prepass . Great.
When the guy comes out with the brick and tape, you know you're over. So I go in and he asks if I want to move the weight around? Yeah, let me get out my pocket pallet jack and OH, you're serious? No, plus the trailers loaded to the doors with drinks. Ain't happn capn . Ha Ha. I was polite and he was too. He reminded me GA has no bridge law and showed me how to pay. I've paid more than $90 to learn harder lessons in life and when the other drivers in line asked about it on the cb, I told them I had got my first load award and they laughed and were talking about big certificates and awards they had gotten and I didnt feel so bad about working for free that day. Still made it to my delivery on time, but getting unloaded put me late to my preplan . Then the super racist old security guard almost made me forget to lock in my tandems . I remembered though and got down the road. When I did my post-trip(and this is why you should ALWAYS post trip) I found an inside trailer tire had gone flat. The tire guy said it had a gash on the sidewall and had it replaced before the repower driver came to swap. It felt good knowing it was an important load for one of our premier customers and not catching the flat when I did could have caused another driver to be late. Im due for PM soon and hope to get it done quickly so I can keep Rosie reliable and $making. 2200 miles last week plus detention, local work and tolls minus taxes and benefits was almost $800 for anyone wanting to know about the pay. I've been with Arnold 4 months now and I'm pleased. My goal is by the end of the year to be in a 2013 condo Pete and get on a dedicated. Not in a rush, because life is meant to be enjoyed, not anticipated. B safe.
