Here at my favorite hotel in Goodyear, AZ, and darn if the lounge is closed today. Glad that I stopped at WallyWorld first. Truck to KW in morning, and then after to Swift shop. Was told today that I definately have a QC issue, but did not know today when they could get to it. After KW, if they say that they still do not know or that a couple of days, I am outta here, and will deal with the issues.

Sitting in Lamar, CO after starting my day in Pueblo. First I headed to Golden (with a stop at the Castle Rock Walmart) to pick up my beer load, then a stop by the Denver terminal for fuel. This was as far as I got before I ran out of usable time for today. Got a bit over 10 hours coming off tomorrow, just enough to make it to final for delivery Tuesday morning.

Imperial, NE at a non-existent used-to-be-I-think truck stop.
But, at least I'm on a load.
I had to go to the Denver terminal to fuel earlier. The road up to it is lined with trucks on both sides.
And when I left Costco there were 2 Swiftys still parked there. -
Looks like we just missed each other at the Denver terminal. As usual it was a zoo. That was the most trucks I've ever seen parked on the street.

Avenel, nj and this place is a hole. I've seen so little truck traffic this weekend it feels odd.

Sounds like you need a little vacation.

Me too.
I'm glad I got a load out. I delivered Friday night, so I got a 34 out of it.
Luckily there was a Walmart next door, so I could also get supplies. Well, some supplies. It is one one the smallest Walmarts I have ever seen, and they didn't stock some of what I wanted. -
First to show up for my live unload there in Irving TX. Kid tells me he has no room in his warehouse for my load of cans on the 53 foot trailer loaded front to back top to bottom. I told him his day will only get better as there are about 10 trucks loaded like me coming every hour on the hour all day. They asked me to drop it on the dirt lot nearby and no empties available. This created a big problem with the empty call, but got it straightened out finally.
Turned the hood in the westerly direction and started boogying. Fleet manager says 'go west, don't look back freight slo', yeah way ahead of you there lol.
New Mexico desert tonight, nice respite from the heat-- whodathunkit.
