I'll bet they pay pretty decent. (for floriduh)
I'd also bet they'll work your butt off.
Good Luck -
Ive heard they pay well. And I agree I imagine it is not easy work. Ive seen some posts for US Foods but they were out of NY so with Florida being one of those lower paying states Im wondering if its still decent for the amount of work involved

I'd say Yes......
let us know if yu go there. -
I work for US Foods out of Clifton Park(Albany, NY). From what I understand there are two types of pay scales warehouses use. Some are hourly. Some are piece pay. In Clifton Park we are piece pay. Piece pay works out awesome. We get paid miles, stop pay, cases, and OT for waiting, breakdowns, etc. I work 4 days a week with every weekend off and a day off during the week(Wednesday for me). I gross from anywhere between 1000-1200 a week.
Be ready for early start times. I typically start anywhere in between 3 and 5am. For the first 6 months i started, 14 hour days were really common. Almost every day, in fact. Now, i typically work anywhere from 10-14 hours, but a normal day is around 12 hours. Only working 4 days a week, that is more than ok with me.
The work is the hardest Ive ever done. I came from delivering milk, and delivering in the food service industry is much more work. The cases are awkward, the loads can be extremely frustrating to pick through, and they will route you out of the way often enough to drive you insane. Bulky boxes, 100lbs cases of beef and pork. I opened up a new 5 Guys Burger joint that took 200 50lbs bags of potatoes as an opening order. All of that has to be loaded on a handcart and run down the ramp on your truck. It sucks.....BUT, nobody can match the pay you can make with the time off you will get anywhere.
The veteran guys there make anywhere from 65k a year(4 day workers) to 85k a year(5 day workers M-F). If you can handle the work, the job is worth it. This will be my first full year with them, and I am on pace to make about 58k this year working 4 days a week. -
Thanks.. Great info.. my thought is that Florida might be different just because its Florida..lol. Im not afraid of hard work, I used to deliver for Roadway Express locally and that was a lot of lifting and moving loads around to get others off. Typically 20-30 stops and pick ups at the end of the day. Roadway is Teamsters down here so pay was set by the union but from what I know US Foods is non union.

Some US Foods warehouses are union and some are not. Albany, NY is non union, but Buffalo, NY and Metro(NYC) are union. It's good to look into because from what I have noticed the union warehouses all pay a straight hourly wage, while the non union warehouses are the much more beneficial piece pay.
You may be right about living in Florida and making less money, Im not really sure how it works down there.
