a microphone clamped to the exhaust & hooked up to a 1000 watt amp and speaker could do the trick.

Reefer was in the truck stop parking lots long before you started driving and will be in them long after you stop. If you cant stand it go to foodlion and get you a job stocking shelves or as a bagger. And if you want to pay drivers reefer fuel bill we will run them any way you want until then its cycle for me weather its cabbage or ice cream. And I dont think you ever pulled reefer making a stupid statement like that

Tell me your truck number, OP. Why? I'll find you. I'll set my reefer to cycle, start my APU and honk my city and air horns randomly all night :)

Also, I guess as a reefer hauler I have no right to park in a truck stop or a rest area. I do, however, always try to park alone and as far away from other trucks as I can. That way I'm in my spot before anyone is next to me and they can't say much to me.

Is this thread for real? Pitiful... Kind of like me complaining that I cant see the truck 2 spots over cause of the dang tractor on the stepdeck next to me. Now I cant sleep cause he wont move that dang tractor. While we are at it, why not complain at those drivers smoking outside. They are polluting the atmosphere. This is trucking...Get real. Why be petty. Be safe out there drivers.

I run reefer and the cycling drives me nuts at night too, I put it on cont at night but if I knew the person that pulled in next to me was going to complain about the noise I would put it on cycle and open the doors on the unit to get it a little louder. Yup I am a cynical jerk.

This industry is noisy and smelly. I get a free ear and nose high every day! What's there to complain about? Unless the OP is mad that I haul hazmat reefer and get more CPM ;)

lol most of the hate directed at us reefers usually come from flatbedders. they hate in the truckstops, they hate on the road(cutting you off without even bothering to signal, for example). why so mad? its just truckin!!!

When you never eat perishable food ever again, then you can complain.

It is as bad as 4 wheelers complaining trucks are slow...
