What survey. There is a survey on the Kiosk. Whenver I am at a terminal and login, takes me right to O/O page, and no survey. I feel neglected and unwanted now.

Trucking Jobs in 30 seconds
Every month 400 people find a job with the help of TruckersReport.
-
Survey says: Plus 1 sucks and needs to replaced.
-
I would think that if they want to keep it, find a way to reprogram for the company trucks, and leave the rest of us alone. We are supposedly responsible for our trucks and we are a business partner, not an employee.
-
Programming does not seem to be a strong suit with the programmers.
Making that one little change would probably fry their little brains. -
Like the load I grabbed this morning. Loads 09/24 @ 0900, delivers 755 (paid miles) away 09/25 between 0001-1015. The delivery time stunk of Plus 1 but I took it anyway. Next thing I did was ask Lewiston what the "real" delivery window is. Answer: 09/25 0001-2258. I'll get it there (assuming it's really a drop-n-hook at pickup) before noon with no problems, and since I know the real times...no stress.

What is the timeline for the loadboard?
What are they proposing for percentage? -
Scottie .. the only thing for sure is that the executive board has approved the implementation a of load board .. there has been no defintitive decsion as to wether or not a change in compensation will be included.
Go to the Swift O/O facebook page .. updates are being posted there by Rapid Response.scottied67 Thanks this. -
Buried back on page 7, so guess +one ain't as bad as it was.
Or most of the guys that were around pre+ have long since left.
So if the load has a delivery window until 23:59,
And a reasonable drive time etc would be del by 08:00,
Why does +one preplan have 04:30 on it?
There are only 70 hrs available in a week....
Why won't it send a preplan that allows for even bathroom breaks?
Just got one.
Live load 16:00.
750 miles
Drop by 17:00 next day.
That's a 14 hr trip minimum plus a 10.
So live load, rolling by 18:00.... +24 hrs = 18:00 , 2 hrs late if busting hump.
And oh yea, s/f for early OR late for window of 60 seconds.
Stupider than stupid of the stupidest.
And oh yea, just wait till next week when the mandatory :30 min break kick in.
Turn down rate 100%MikeCammer and scottied67 Thank this. -
Plus one is for lazy drivers that need to be told what to do. Just wait in due time they will have the quallcomm telling you what you are supposed to do like drive for 6 hours break 30 mins drive for 3 hours 10 hour break drive for 2 hour to customer. This plus one crap is annoying. And to top it off I decined a pre plan a month ago because delivery a live unload at 9 pm in Dalton ga . Are you kidding ? I know all to well how this works. I get there and 2 hours later I leave and where am I parking ? On a cloud?
MikeCammer and capthook Thank this. -
Parking after a load is not a consideration, only getting the load there when they want.
They will tell you to park at the shipper/receiver, or just find 'someplace' close.
In any case, it is not their problem. That is what being a 'professional' driver means, don't you know.
It's like with idle time to stay cool enough to sleep.
They say to find some shade, use a fan... but get it down to 18% - or you could always lease a truck and then you can have complete control.
Plus-1 is exactly the same thing. It is an attempt to control all the variables, usually to the drivers disadvantage.
Go blindly with Plus-1 timing and you will either run illegally or get many service failures - and you will surely suffer in even more ways.
Even so, I have yet to be punished for turning down a load with adjusted times via Mac9.
The load is either taken off me or kicked right back with my times.
Just have to take a little time to actually plan it before responding to it, as well as learn which loads look like there is more time built in.
Live load/unload usually means a set time (but not always), drop or pre-loaded usually has a window.MikeCammer and capthook Thank this.
