Been off since Saturday afternoon, but luckily have been bobtail so able to travel around and take care of things like getting my flu shot, going to the movies and catching Taken II which was spectacular.
Being's Columbus day not sure if they will have me loaded today or not. Glad I held over my load delivery to Thursday instead of Wednesday otherwise will be looking at a short mile week. -
It's a sub-8,000 lb MT aluminum can load. My delivery appointment was set for 8:00 am, I called 2 days ahead of time to see if I could deliver early. They told me so long as I was there prior to 2:00 pm they would unload me early. I got there @ 12:45 PM, 33 minutes from Mac 5 to Mac 6! Worst part about the load is no where (and I mean NO WHERE) to park if you wanted to wait for another load. I headed to the Fontana terminal where I took a 10 hr break then headed to Van Nuys to pick up a beer load.

I just called him and it went straight to voice vail.

Walcott, IA. What a difference a day makes. Crossed into IA, and watched my fuel mpg just drop. Now I am not complaining, since it only went down to 9.0mpg. I can not remember a time that I have crossed IA on I-80 and have not been fighting winds from the South. Talked to the CONS this morning, and they rescheduled my appt, 1000 in the morning. Now just hope that I can grab something short for Wednesday. An extra 500 miles will be just fine.
I hate this computer system, even though I changed arrival time and PTA, and the computer acknowleged it, try and MAC 30 and says that can't. PTA is before delivery date. This means I am going to have to wait until MT in the morning before can even get a pplan or do a MAC 30, and with my luck, after get mt, the computer is going to have a fit, mt prior to appointmentLast edited: Oct 8, 2012

Gotta shorty from Nogales PU in drop yard in Tuson delivered this morning in Las Crusies, NM... So for those keeping track at home the grand total this week is 169 empty and 1024 loaded. I had more miles the week I took home time than this pay period. What was a bonus paycheck now will have to cover what this weeks check won't... FML

Another 24 hours have gone by so now we are up to 60 hours sitting without a load now. I requested over the qualcomm to have the load removed several times because they sent out messages asking us not to call in. Finally called in and got the short sour brushoff. All I can do is wait for my DM to get in from the long weekend and help me out. If I had not carried over my long load from last week, looking at 700 miles for this week so far and it is Tuesday-- ticking ticking ticking.
I want to see the load boards!!! I want to dispatch myself!! I'm not liking this system where I have to count on some middle manager types who sit around on their butts playing video games and watching youtube at their desks being in charge of keeping loads out in front of me.
