Agreed. It's an oopsy. Sad you're cooling your heels away from home, but it's a mistake you wont make again (believe me I know). In my dealings with WM, they're seriously anal when it comes to their schedules and not a darn thing any of us drivers can do about it.

Being away from home for that long blows ###.

Man....what a sanctimonious bunch of folks.....get off the kid......he made a mistake and was venting.....like none of you have ever made a mistake OR (god forbid) vent on TTR.

Anyone that has delivered to Wal-Mart more than once knows how ridiculous they can be sometimes! They are the worst when it comes to sanctimony and self righteousness they rank #1!

Is May trucking that bad or whatever else he was b@#$&*^/ about???? Who knows or cares....give folks a little leeway....if it continues then blast them.....geez!

I had one of my drivers lock themselves our in NYC and he asked me what I was going to do,and I laughed. Told him to call a locksmith or break the little passenger window, whichever he thought would cost HIM less.
Now you've proven yourself unreliable, cost your company a lot of money, and you made your company look bad with the largest retailer in the world. Get over yourself! You cost your company a few grand with the truck's downtime and you expect them to jump when you command?

This is why I got rid of my trucks and drivers!

Now that THAT mistake has been made, have an extra key made. (should cost about 4 buck) Then cable tie said key somewhere on the truck so it dont happen again....Happened to me in NJ turnpike rest area. Fortunately they sold lockout tools there and no one was ever the wiser about it. Until now....... That being said, it is not your company's fault that this happened, so blaming them and road service wont work. Now ya gotta man up and get back on the horse and ride it like you stole it....Good Luck

Wow! I only stopped because I was going to be EARLY! But this Walmart will not take you more than 15mins early and they offer no parking to wait. And having to piss real bad made me jump out with that on my mind. As soon as I released the door, I knew what was happening, but it was too late. And yes, I did have a spare key in a holder under the truck, but that broke the other day and I hadn't replaced it yet. And yes, I am badmouthing Walmart. They suck. All the times I've been early, only to sit there 4 hours or more before they even BEGIN unloading my scheduled delivery, finally rolling out of there almost 8 hours AFTER my appt (this has happened plenty of times); makes me not give a f#@k what MalWart thinks. They are true ########, to drivers, employees, suppliers, etc. And yeah, mistakes happen, but rescheduling a refrigerated load for 6 days later is just uncalled for. And it wouldn't have mattered if it was a blown tire or a lock out, so that's largely irrelevant. But MalWart is the biggest bully on the block, so they get to push everyone around, accommodation and understanding be ######.

I take responsibility for ACCIDENTALLY closing the the door before I made sure I had my key in hand. Oops. And no, my company is not "punishing" me by letting me sit; you think they want to feed an extra $1,000 into the reefer and tractor just to make a point? No. I get my loads in on time, don't get violations or tickets, don't wreck their equipment. I'm sure none of you ever make mistakes, must just be me. And yes, I am annoyed that the planners couldn't get something lined up, and that's it's been almost 24hrs since I parked after delivery. But mostly, I hate MalWart even more than I did before. I'll be doing my best to never spend another penny there. They're not happy with being among the wealthiest multi-billionaires on the planet, they've gotta sqeeze every last possible dime where they can. Nothing wrong with creating wealth, but at some point, treating people the way they do in order to get more just becomes obscene...

    End rant.

It will be hard for me to ever give up shopping at Wally Mart. They sell the best hot salsa I've ever eaten. It's under the brand "Marketside" (hot) salsa. They keep it stocked in the veggie cooler section.

Sorry you're having a such a hard time Spokester. I hope it gets better soon!

what kinda truck do you have? the pete i have i cant lock the door without the key, and i never had a spare until just recently which i never use cause i dont really have a reason to, except for when i dropped it at the shop in payette so they could just grab it from the lot themselves and do their maintenance or whatever, but thats when i just got the spare key also. and i hear ya, i sat in denver for almost a week with a brokedown truck, worst part no break down pay cause denver is my home alto i dont have my apartment there anymore
