Update:

My broken truck turned out to be 2 simple plugs that were not plugged in. Not sure how or why, not pointing fingers, but that was the first and last time a Swift shop will ever see my truck.


Got the truck back Monday morning, grabbed a t-called load to Oshkosh, WI, then a P&G load from Green Bay to Cincinnati on Tuesday, Dayton to Dalton, GA on Wednesday, a Walmart DC to Walmart DC load on Thursday, and now headed for a Sams Club DC north of Dallas as type this.

My current load has one of those 0001-0001 drop times on 10/28. My DM knows I intend to drop it tomorrow. The night person in Lewiston seems to think I cannot drop it til 10/28. I told them that I will drop it tomorrow, either at the final or t-called in Lancaster.

Finally got my truck back, and now waiting for a pplan. Probably will not see one until morning, and it will, with my luch, be a costco or lowes. Hoping for one that has been t-called in PHX with some teeth do it. If no pplan, then will just talk to the t-call window in the morning and get me one.

 

Rather than fight city hall (or Swift in this case) I decided to take a 34 and deliver my load tomorrow. The night guy at Lewiston told me to take it to Lancaster and ASK them if I could t-call it. Like THAT was gonna happen. Even if they allowed it (t-call) I would have stuck in Lancaster on the weekend without a load. I'd rather hang out where I'm at.

 

Still in the hotel. Awoke around midnight with a touch of a flu bug, and this after getting the flu shot 2 weeks ago. Just chill until morning. already pushed out my PTA. I swear, every time that I come here and stay here at least 2 days, come down with something. Even when the wife was with me, we stayed about 3 days and she came down with some type of virus.

 

You probaly have the same thing I caught from my kids when I spent a week in San Diego with my family. My kids and I are over ours, the wife still has a nasty cough. It's not the flu nor a cold, kind of a rouge upper respritory infection. Mine lasted about 10 days. It's the Phoenix valley crud, and you tought you were getting out of there!

Let's see, yesterday (Friday) I rolled into the final (near Winchester VA) with a little over an hour left on the 70, dropped and hooked into my next load bound for Atlanta GA which delivers Monday AM. So I jammed down here to Decatur terminal so I can drop the trailer on the safe haven yard and take my 34 out and about on the town. Probably get a hotel for tomorrow so I can watch some NFL.

 

Thanks. The last time that I caught something here I could not get rid of it until I was able to get outta here. I will just have to push myself to get away.
