Wow!...um about 20 years before...included a little quote and synopsis of the series from 1972

David Carradine starred as Shaolin priest Kwai Chang Caine, an Oriental/American raised in a Chinese monastery who later fled to America when he killed the Royal Chinese nephew in defense of Master Po (Keye Luke), a blind monk who called Caine "Grasshopper."
While in America, Caine searched for his family roots and his half-brother Daniel "Danny" Caine whose father Thomas Henry Caine fell in love with an oriental woman name Kwai Lin while in China and gave birth to Kwai Chang.

west2_kung_fu.jpg As quickly as you can...snatch the pebble from my hand." [Caine tries and fails]
"When you can take the pebble from my hand, it will be time for you to leave."
Kwai Chang Caine (David Carradine) played the young grasshopper asking Master Kan (played by Philip Ah)

In the 90's I bought the series from Columbia House on VHS lol. Would love to convert them to DVD but they are all copy protected and quickly degrading.

If you have seen Kill Bill, Grasshopper plays Bill. Quentin Tarantino talks about the movie coming out and a whole generation not knowing what Grasshopper means.

Gordon Lui who played 2 different characters in Kill Bill I and II, also starred in one of my favorite kung foo movies called Shaolin Challenges Ninja. He plays a Chinese bachelor who marries a Japanese woman, he hides his skills, she flaunts hers, they get into a fight, he wins every time. She goes back to Japan and her exboyfriend and his pals all come over to China and fight the husband one by one every day and he defeats them all in all manner of weapons and hand to hand skills.

Oh yeah, the Kung Foo series was thought up and created by Bruce Lee originally.

I would think not that much just for internet, since they already have the comm's hookup, I'm a ham radio operator and we have satellites, that we talk off of a no cost. I have 3 phones ( family plan ) with unlimited minutes nation wide for 98.00 if I wanted internet on one of them it's another 10.00 , but you could be right ! it just seems in this day and time it would be a easy thing to do. Maybe ? if they offered it at a discount ? Anyway MB have a good / safe day and GOD Bless . ................................................................................................
