I'm in GA....south of Atlanta on 85.....Newlan, is it? Anyway...got 640 miles in today....do about 500 tomorrow and del Friday morning at 0930 in Greenville, NC.

 

Heading the other way... passed Breezewood around 0500.

Ah... not to be a wiseacre, but you just gotta know how its done in the middle of the night.

 

I think I sprayed more ether into an 8v92 one winter than I've sprayed in the whole rest of my life! There were days I think a call to the witch doctor was the only thing that'd get it started.


And nothing has ever sounded sweeter than a V12 with a fresh run rack! Not music, but a freaking symphony, it was!

I once lived in Albany, OR and then went to Riverside, CA in an old straight truck pulling a pick-up truck. But first, stopped in Newport, OR and headed to San Francisco, CA. My memory is soo bad... but I can remember beautiful parks, the beautiful scenery on the road, the mountains and the sea... maybe that was US-101... And then, we went back to Newport, OR and headed east to Buffalo, NY in the same straight truck pulling the pick-up.... It was a one month trip as we stopped at major National Parks... and had problems with alternator and water pump.... and had to get them fixed on the road, literally... old adventures....
