get ready to make even LESS MONEY!
is the fines for a HOS offense really 2,750 dollars? -
we have fellow drivers, right here on this forum, who think such rules are needed and are a good thing
so how can you fight the politicians and their tyranny when you have fellow drivers all too willing to bend over for these rules and regs?
people will receive the amount of tyranny they accept
and it seems the more they put on us, the more we acceptx#1, Raiderfanatic, Cowmobile and 13 others Thank this. -
no problem hombre
just dont break the rules
soon it will be execution or giving up your first born, and your fellow drivers will say "you shouldnt have broken the rules"snowblind, Wiseguywireless, Emulsified and 2 others Thank this. -
12 hours less of driving time per week... that's like 250 dollars average off a weeks paycheck for people running all their hours...
then again the big companies could not care because they cant even keep their trucks running for 2000 miles per week...
this is going to hurt the owner/ops and small carriers, its meant to average everyone down to mcdonalds wages.NavigatorWife and DealBreaker Thank this. -
Not enough drivers were there.

it wont affect the ones who run paper logs. this one will really hammer the elog drivers. im not advocating or implying anything, but we know what i am talking about.
TruckerSue and Emulsified Thank this. -
Wait, who was running 82 hours in 7 days legally? I never got the memo
My favorite part?
The rule requires truck drivers who maximize their weekly work hours to take at least two nights' rest when their 24-hour body clock demands sleep the most - from 1:00 a.m. to 5:00 a.m.
What science shows that? I don't see how night drivers are going to be better rested by having to take 40+ hr restarts. The only effect this will have is to make drivers shy away from night driving, further straining the limited parking we have. Circadian rhythms dont care where the sun is, only when sleep has occurred in the past few days.
Rules that keep people from going on 60 hour stimulant fueled driving marathons=good
Rules that keep people from having reasonable schedules to make money without endangering the public=badLaBubba, Everett, dannythetrucker and 4 others Thank this.
