Picked up my preloaded trailer last night, got scaled, 82,700 pounds. Return to shipper, got on CB, they tell me which door to stick it in. First thing the guy asks/accuses, is if I have full fuel tanks lol. At the same moment the loader on the docks screams across that the day loader put two too many pallets on the shipment. UMMM YA, you were saying? It's like they always want to blame the driver first.
Gotta get this fuel gauge thing fixed. Every Thursday or load that lands after Wednesday cutoff, I always zero out my odometer. So far I have driven 1500 miles since then, but have purchased 325 gallons of fuel and showing 1/8th at this time. Now I know all the loads have been all maxed out heavy and into the wind but come on!!Last edited: Nov 26, 2012

Ugghhh... South Baltimore Travel Center. I spent a month here one weekend

Not my most favorite truck stop in the USA. But I deliver 5 miles away tomorrow and hope to get out of the east and towards the south (we shall see) -
At The Pilot in Lost Hills, CA. Deliver tomorrow am in Oakland then pickup a load in Fairfield, CA headed for Salt Lake City. 696 paid miles and Plus1 expects me to get it there in less than 24 hours. Is it any wonder I message Lewiston on EVERY Plus1 load I see?
On the plus side I'm getting 9.2 MPG with my current load, 13,000 lbs in the box and a skirted trailer. -
Delivered cans to miller coors in elkton va sat today for a reset and picking up a load tomorrow heading to Atlanta.

Lancaster ... on my way to Memphis.

Mira Loma... This makes 5 nights in a row that I've been in CA../

Fernley, NV at the Loves. Delivered my load to UPS in Oakland earlier today then picked up my Clorox load headed for Costco in Salt Lake.
Just for grins I checked my mileage at the top of Donner (77,500 lbs gross), 4.5 MPG. It was up to 5.6 by Fernley, got 9.55 from the top of Donner to Fernley, why not, it's ALL downhill! -
Yes that is a very weak excuse for giving someone a service failure. I mean, they give us the bol, pieces, and weight right in the preplan lol. Are they too dumb to know their own numbers?
I just got threatened with a service failure myself. I accepted this load, it is 350 loaded miles. When I plugged in the address from the shipper to final, my GPS said it was 457 miles. I thought, hmm so I turned on the qualcomm Navigation/Dispatch and it also said 457 miles following the exact Swift route that was sent in the load assignment. Sent a couple messages asking for fair pay, they went all defensive on me, citing the O/O contract and such. It wasn't til I shut down and google mapped it that it is indeed 350 miles using goat trails. I'm wondering who to talk to to get the route changed on that load assignment for future drivers who may not know that the Swift routing is 100 miles off.
I've been on that run a few times, you should make it with plenty of time within your 11, no need to take a 10 hour break to deliver the next day, just a heads up, you can deliver early, it will be a drop and they will have no empties. Your empty call will say 'stay there til resolved, set as live unload' etc. It happens every time and every time the CSR wants to know the name of the person who told you to drop and why you didn't get an empty lol. -
I've had allot of pre plans say something accept it and it be over 100 miles different. I send a Mac 22 and put it in saying cosignee is 100 miles farther then what u told me.
I want to know what's up with them letting me take home time with trk but now day if its longer them 2 days I gotta leave it at terminal and drive home a 100 miles for 3 days off. If I gotta fush with them about that all the time I might as well drive 60 miles to a dedicated account save myself gas money.
