What terminal are you working out of? In Columbus it is 3 days truck goes with you....4 days you must return it to terminal. What my DM normally tries to do is get me dispatched in accordance with my hometime. Example - Pick up a load in Chicago on Friday with a delivery on Monday or Tuesday down south ... say NC. That way I pick up Friday, drive to a truckstop near the house and sit until Sunday night or Monday morning. It has worked pretty well so far. You may want to try that.

My big question is: Have you received any blowback from the MAC 22 's that you have been sending?

Mine was a drop and of course despite the 200+ Swift trailers no MT. They sent me 3 miles away to pick up a MT at another customer. The MT had a gladhand lock on it and the customer refused to give it to me. I ended up bobtailing to the next load. Got there @ 4:30 PM (for a 0630-1700 window) and of course it wasn't ready.

Finially left with my load about 6:15 pm, presently at the Salt Lake terminal for the night. Headed to Albuquerque tomorrow, 620 miles of almost all 2 lane. Live unload Friday morning at the Walmart DC in Los Lunas.

If you see a purple prostar with those pink magnetic ribbons on it, say hey to Sarah or Mike. They are team L/O out of Los Lunas. Good people. Mike is solid, a good guy, Sarah is a nut. They both know their stuff. I think Mike drives during the day and Sarah at night. They do team a little differently, LOL.

ocala......and no one has really said anything about being late when they have the wrong info I mean they do throw a fit if I'm late because of other reasons like traffic, mountains, snow. But I just snap back I'm just getting to a point where I'm always turning downloads cause u have no time to run them so that get pissy about that but if I ain't got time to even piss I'm not taking it.

And being stuck in the northeast from the time I leave home and come home sucks ###.

Made my delivery yesterday, macro 30 didn't show anything that was interesting to me. Getting low on the 70 hour clock, decided to sit for 24 hours or so to (the rest of Wednesday into Thursday) to save up some hours to be available for Friday/Weekend freight. I know they (planners) don't like it but I leave my PTA where it is just in case they offer up something good while I'm sitting. My anxiety won't let me push out my PTA lol, what if a good load came across that I missed out on lol.

Anyway, I accepted this crackpipe load this morning, picks up at 1300 delivers at midnite-- 115 miles mt to 490 loaded with a live load and drop. OK to get it on time I need to be leaving soon which puts delivery after my 14 has ended. I'm just to the point I have no respect for these times the planners put in the preplans any more. In the end the load gets there and I get paid, that's all I care about. I would love to be more of a team player but the culture that Plus 1 spreads is like a disease. Oak Grove KY

Oh yeah, meant to mention, saw a Swifty in trouble at the Walmart DC, his tractor was about 15 feet in front of the trailer, air lines/pigtail stretched out to the max, trailer on the ground, landing gear all the way up. I stopped to ask him what happened. He said the trailer failed the tug test lol. So he got it cranked up just enough I told him to dump his air suspension and back under then air it up. Lower the landing gear again and dump air, I put two 2x4's on each chassis rail and had him air up again then couple the 5th wheel. I could see the locking jaw was only halfway across the kingpin. I recommended he not take the trailer, but he wanted it really bad, so slammed back and forth til the locking jaw went all the way across. Make sure you guys are leaving the landing gear down when tug testing and look at the kingpin/locking jaws before you dolly up.

Made it to Albuquerque with 9 minutes left on my 11. Considering that Google Maps told me it would take 11 hrs 8 mins I think I did good. I knew things were tight so when I got to the 70 MPH portion of NM550 I put the spurs to it and ran 68 MPH all the way to I-25. My math says that move saved me about 6 1/2 minutes vs running my normal 65.

Got a preplan for a Walmart grocery load out of the DC tomorrow. Then I got a second PP from El Paso to Austin, high value load that delivers @ 2:30 pm on Saturday. Considering that I'll deliver the Walmart load about 1:00 pm tomorrow I turned it down. Even if I had the time I refuse to take loads that require me to drive all night.

If you go down to Gallop and the. Over on 40 to Alburquiere it saves a bit of time. Not sure the mileage. I've gone from Alburquiere term to SLC term same day with 09 mins left in a company truck.

WindOver NV... Might spend a couple of dollars at the casino.

I did the 491 south/I-40 east route 3 weeks ago and didn't care for it. NM550 is about 15 miles shorter and once you're actually on 550 much smoother and faster than 491. JMHO. Where you probably save time is avoiding Farmington.
